Bob looks dressed rather appropriately for his day I’d say. I’m pretty sure the PM’s attire during the Zodiac run is a tad overstated and almost Iggyish – fish out of water short of thing unless the context of the photo is explained(which it is eventually)
That neither is wearing a life-jacket is wrong especially with so many drownings in Ontario of late. It’s irresponsible and sets a bad example.
Then again maybe the person photographing Rae is standing on shore, making the distance of, what 10ft maximum??
The best story re: the Bob Rae photo is that he’s not on the bus tour but doing what most Ontarians are doing these days…..enjoying summer and the hell with pretty much everything else.
If it’s too intrusive for Big Brother to make the guy fill in a census form, it’s surely as bad to make him wear a life jacket, no?
Last time I saw pics of Rae on a lake he was naked with Rick Mercer. He does look better dressed, he should consider wearing a life jacket for his own safety.
I am sure that the Conservatives appreciate your advice Warren: however, Rae just isn’t worth their time. Ignatief with his bus, his bike and his boots have given them a more inviting target. It is nice to see a politician relaxing and enjoying himself. It sure beats the contrived goings on in Question Period.
It has been reported that the choice not to wear a life jacket came from the OLO and his COS.

Looks like a photo-op to me. Hair coiffed, no life-jacket, no hat, tidy clean boat.
Maybe he was just posing for a family shot.
