The 100 Club

The 100 Club is the oldest live music venue in London.  It is also a crucial part of the history of the Stones, Oasis, the Clash, the White Stripes and countless others.

Due to sky-high rents and exorbitant taxes, the 100 Club is facing closure in a matter of weeks. If you want to help prevent that, click here.

In the meantime, here’s a ditty by four of the loveable moptops who also played there.

I haven’t listened to those “moptops” in ages – they were soooo adorably “shocking” and our absolute favourites!
The UK was famous for its really cool music clubs back then – did we honestly tell our parents that we had to cross the Channel to spend the summer in England for “language studies”… Geez, we had a great time over there 🙂

Got some bad news tonight, Ari Up of the Slits, died Wednesday, October 20th after a serious illness.

I’m sure she saw some shows in the 100 Club as a 14-15 year old ‘Typical Girl’.

The Sex Pistols never looked natural when having to lip sync.
