So sayeth the Star.

Personally, I still don’t think so, but what do I know?

What thinkest thou, O wk.com readers?

nothing’s changed in the fortunes (or lack of them) of the parties either in their polling numbers or their finances. I like the idea of going back to sleep so I picked that one.

    • Pete says:

Typical braindead Tory supporter; stay asleep while your government steals democracy right under your nose

      • Cath says:

then count me in with all of the other braindeads from the ranks of the other parties. Hey Warren, this guy’s in the pool up to his eyeballs.

WK – I think your “out of the pool” column is your best one so far. Hey Pete – you callin’ WK braindead?

What and screw up Harper’s invite to the royal wedding and the Royal Visit? Stupid Star.

From my non-insider and complete ‘bubble’ point-of-view there’s a stench of death on this government. The real question is whether the opposition parties have the same abilities as cats in nursing homes to actually detect it.

The polls mean nothing in my estimation and are really only fodder for the columnists who need something to use for their speculative musings.

Personally, I’d love to spend the Spring knocking on doors and hitting the phones for my riding’s candidate. I’ve spent far too much time on Twitter and need to hear what the ‘rest of Canadians’ are thinking about the government and the opposition – something that we can’t rely on polls for.

Peggy Nash seems to think the election is a go. She and her volunteers were out stomping in my neighbourhood a few days ago.

  5. Cath says:

Warren – you forgot an option. “I think a Spring federal election is………all but a done deal because Michael Igniateff and the Liberals said so.

um, he didn’t ‘forget’ that — he LED with it, and that very link.

No wonder you have so many contrary opinions: you’ve got blinders on.

      Set your peepers free!

    We will have an election.

A status quo outcome equals victory = bye bye Harper.

    Bring it!

  7. hugger says:

I don’t think there will be an election because Harper will make a deal of some sort even if it means buying the support of the Bloc. It’s not his money and he doesn’t mind spending it.

The Liberals are trying not to appear as wimpy but already support the Cons on many significant issues. As in the recent vote on bill C 474 where the Liberals gave their support to Harper on throwing the doors wide open to Genetically modified seeds.

Once that stuff is let in, there is no turning back. If it’s anything like what happened in the US, there will be roving paramilitary style units making sure the independent conventional and organic growers are eliminated. Non GM seed vendors too.

I got a call from the Cons asking for cash to fight against the “Liberal Socialist Separatist Machine”. I live in The Glebe, man, where every woman wished they had married Paul Dewar instead. Good fucking luck.

They just gave a name my kid’s retro punk band and because of this my boy just asked for a set of drums.

    This means war.
