Hey, in all fairness, even Ted Kennedy got Obama and Osama mixed up. Geraldo did it tonight, also. Regardless, glad they got him. Osama, I mean.
It’s nice to be generous, but ALL typos on the air are horrible. Misspeaking is one thing, but to type out a President’s name in place of a mass murderer is a fire-able offence. You get to read that before it goes on the air.
The correction to “Usama” is just as bad.

Although it is a very significant blow to terriorism, Bin Laden’s design was to clone terrorists in global clusters. Al Qaeda ( “the base”) was only the centre of a nucleus. The clones are designed to be self sustaining and disconnected in every way other than ideology.
True to fanaticism others will take over and plan retaliation, but they might not have the tenacity of purpose without their base leader.

Apparently it was bin Laden’s courier that gave up his location. I heard the family jipped him of money owed for his services, so he though to himself ‘I know how to fix Osama’s little red wagon’. Next thing you know Navy Seals were dropping in the compound.
As for the TV screw-up – as Chris mentioned this was a FOX affiliate that screwed up, not the main network itself. But curious now if FOXNews commentators will stop calling Prez Obama a Muslim terrorist sympathizer now that, you know, he actually took out the top Muslim terrorist in the world?
