—At the Leaside Rink
…and I still look for, and still cannot find, the mythical picture/trophy/plaque containing one Stephen Harper’s name. Anyone know where it is, in this drafty old barn? If I find it, I’ll post a photo.
#askvictoews? He knows all.
well that would fit on a trophy
but he doesn’t know what’s in his internet snooping bill…
Sorry Warren, the chalice cannot be seen by non believers…….:>)
Harper doesn’t want Canadians to know he’s from Leaside. Wouldn’t play well with the base. Then again, I’m not sure if Leasiders would want to lay claim to him in any way.
By 611 votes in Don Valley West of which Leaside is a small part. A squeaker. The East York and Toronto polls went Liberal. North York polls went Conservative. “They”, Leasiders, didn’t elect this guy.
This one?

It does, but it’s not.
“..As a boy growing up in Leaside in the 1970s, Mr. Harper laced up for the Leaside Lions hockey team…
A few years ago, when he was campaigning for election, Mr. Harper visited the rink, and noted during the tour that he had played there as a kid.
…Mr. Harper then sent the rink a framed photo of himself in his Leaside Lions jersey to add to its collection”

perhaps it has been reposessed by some greasy (and light fingered) little Tory operatives- and has a place of honour (shrine?) @ 24 Sussex? Maybe we can expect to see it in the oh-so-soon to be never published hockey book?
