That link is one of the stupidist things I have ever read. If you want to define racism a particular way and then limit the definition to prove your point you are not making a fair argument. Just becuase some nimrod on DailyKos says there is no reverse racism because I say so does not mean it is true.
The Chinese term for white people is “Gwi Low” (sp) it roughly translates as white devil and it is used in newspapers and on TV and no one blinks. Is that not institutional racisim? Of course it is, imagine it applied to anyone else and you would be appallled. As someone who is in a mixed “race” marriage I have experianced real and vile sytematic discrimination against myself, my wife and my marriage from both whites and non whites. To say it is merely discrimination or prejudice is just plain stupid and demeans my experiances as a human being.
Racism is vile and it is vile when applied to anyone, it does not matter if they are white, purple or green…arguing that you can’t be racist against white people is of course a type of racisim in and of itself. So cut it out.
This does not mean that I agree with getting rid of HRC’s or anything but really, that link just offended my brain, I think it actually made me dumber reading it and if you want people on your side then how about showing a little respect for the ENTIRE human experiance.
