Fight The Right in the new Quill and Quire

Whether scrapping in the political trenches as a Liberal Party of Canada campaign strategist, or writing about the history of punk music, Warren Kinsella could never be considered a shrinking violet. His new book, Fight the Right: A Manual for Surviving the Coming Conservative Apocalypse (Random House Canada, $22.95 pa., Sept.), is a typically provocative, confrontational guidebook for progressives who want to better understand their conservative adversaries.

So what’s your prescription for fighting the pro war, pro tax cuts, pro oil, pro life contingent in the Liberal party?

      Ha! What he said.

    • smelter rat says:

I’m pretty sure WK and the current federal Libs have nothing in common.

      • CarlosM says:

There’s a bit of confusion, no doubt. As is well known, WK is no different from most Conservatives and is loyal to anything named Liberal. And he also claims to be some sort of punk progressive. Neither real punks nor real progressives would have anything to do with such a regressive part of the establishment. He even takes contracts from Conservatives. If you are really punk, you would hate WK. WK=FAKE.

        • Domenico says:

Ah, another believer in the punk purity test. Because as we all know punk has strict tenets that include not supporting a political party.

Any promotional tours/book signings in the works, Mr. K?……

  3. william smith says:

I guess the two Johns – Manley and Martin will never be writing the foreword! But good Libs all the same, pity they don’t see themselves as the enemy on the Right

  4. Terry says:

Congratulations, you’re in some pretty august company in that review.

Nice to see the godfather of punk getting top billing, though … ;)

    • Dude Love says:

Godfather of Punk is Richard Strange, maybe Iggy Pop. But more likely Malcolm McLaren for “creating” punk, not WK.

Here’s one way, have the LPC come up with a leader canadians can get behind and some policies canadians get can support and win the next election.
