I had to read this three times just to understand it. Also digging the capitalization.

He will ensure YOUR kids are well out in front of him.

Like all mendacious, self-aggrandizing fools whose cheap words are a coward’s cover for cheaper character.

  3. Deb says:

Do you think he talks like Captain Kirk in real life?

  4. Dan Calda says:

My best friends father passed away 5 years ago. He spent 6 years in France fighting for Canada during WW 11.

Two comments he made which I will never forget.

1…Rememberance Day is a creation of the politicians…for the politicians…I think of my mates every single day.

    2) War only means the politicians did not work hard enough to keep the peace…or they had something to gain.

He was an innocent 18 year old when he went…managed to survive…grew up in a hurry…but despised for the rest of his life…wraping yourself in the flag…politicians that send kids in harms way having never served, and above all…those that do it for political gain.

Interesting how history always repeats itself…

    Hello Benjamin Netanyahoo.

    • Kev says:

      I think I napped through WW’s 3 through 11.

    • Michael Reintjes says:

Dan Calda wrote” He spent 6 years in France fighting for Canada during WW 11″…pretty interesting given that the Canadian campaign in France lasted only 4 months and the entire NW Europe campaign lasted only 11 months……

      • Dan Calda says:

He was stationed with a British unit in 1939…as were many of the boys from Sydney NS. He came home in 1945…Anything else you wish to add…

…and yes I know the dates don’t correlate to official engagement…
but that is so not the point.

  5. Dan Calda says:

    …and Warren…I am just getting started…

    I find Isreals conduct reprehensible…

I wont get into it tonight…

All I will say is that I lost half my family in Treblinka and Bergen Belsen.

Not the Jews…but the Isreali govt is following some deluded footsteps.

You treat a people like slaves for a generation…what do you expect.

Any real Christian in Canada that states they support Isreal…should demand Bibis resignation…show humanity…and support the Palestinian people.

That is the honorable way to support Isreal.

    • Warren says:

Really? And you can’t spell “Israel”?

      • Dan Calda says:

My thumbs are too big for the crappy phone I have…I do not have spell check on my phone.

That is all you can say…?

        3 Israelis dead…
        100 Palestinians…

But hey…they are just collatoral damage.

        Interesting values you have.

The Palestinian people have they same needs, wants and aspirations as Canadians. Work…feed their families…and perhaps have a modicum of a life.

The best way to support Israel is to support Palestinians and exert pressure against their right wing govt.

We have enough John Bairds…we dont need more.

        • Tim Sullivan says:

Hamas should maybe avoid bombing Israel if the odds are so stacked against it.

You can blame Hamas for the 3 Israel deaths and the 100 Palestinian deaths.

The education system sure failed poor Carl.

He would make an excellent sandbag.

  8. Peter says:

Wow. This “Carl” has O.D.’d on Harper “War of 1812″ propaganda ads…
Look at it this way Carl…
Canada has never started a war, unlike the British, the Americans, Germans or Russians.
Canada has never invaded another country.
In the very, very beginning way back in the early 1700, the British were despots with our Canadians who were then known as Acadians.
The British were, the first to use biological warfare, inducing small pox into the native peoples of Canada.

And during the Boer War, the British were the first to institute concentration camps that killed hundreds of thousands of people. So successful were the British that Hitler and his generals modelled what the British did to the Boers in 1902 and took it to a new level.

So, all of you, that sit there loving how Harper has hooked his wagon to British myth of glory…as a Canadian I am in now way proud of the fact that this Prime Minister, thinks that the Brits are somehow a wonderful legacy to be associated with…

As they say; The victor re-writes history to his/her own advantage.

  9. VC says:

And funding his efforts on his own dime, not “On Tax Payers Dollars” (because national defence should not be financed through public revenues).
