I wonder, did Dean perhaps sometimes “loiter” & “hang out” & at Griffiths Observatory too when not filming there? The Observatory was reportedly once popular as a L.A. gay cruising spot years ago. Filmmaker Kenneth Anger was arrested there in the early 1940s at age 16 after propositioning an under cover cop who was on duty “cruising” for gay men to arrest.
