Congrats to a first-time author

…on his new book.

As someone who has written seven books, I am always gratified to hear about newcomers like this “Stephen J. Harper” fellow.

For years now, since before he became Prime Minister, Stephen Harper has been reportedly working on a book about hockey. He’s obviously never going to finish the thing…… – Scott Feschuk http://www2.macleans.ca/2009/05/21/my-hockey-book-by-stephen-harper/

is that a nom de plume?

    Warren,

Canada’s position on Syria: there’s a book in there some place.

  6. Kevin T. says:

Won’t read it, but I hope it is good enough for him to quit his day job.

  7. Luke says:

This has got to be that Earth-shattering change you were hinting about the other day.

  8. Kaplan says:

I was asleep by the 30-second mark of that trailer. Goodness, could it have been any more boring or uninspired?

  9. Kaspar Juul says:

Dean Skoreyko seems to have an issue with you today on twitter. He seems rather butthurt about your writing prowess.

  10. Rob says:

Did our PM miss house business while “writing” this?

How is it that our PM who is paid to be in the House of Commons to actually work can just take another job and get paid again?

Why is he not being investigated for fraud?

    This is an outrage.

Did the ethics commish ethically determine if there’s a conflict of interest?

Kidding! Where’s that whinging emoticon when you need it?

So, our, piano playing, meat and potatoes, tim horton drinking, voice impressionist, regular father of 2 school aged kids Prime Minister published his book about Canada’s favourite game….progressives should be applauding an everyday guy dabbling in the arts. Timing is probably just a coincidence. This is getting good.

  14. PeggyW says:

I wonder if the same minds that came up with the idea of him wearing a blue sweater also came up with this one.

  15. George says:

I remember someone calling’bullshit’ on the books existence, so where is the apology warren?

  16. JH says:

I’m not that much interested in the topic of the book – suspect it’s for hardcore fans. Might not even buy it, but see the proceeds are for a good cause, so that might influence me. It strikes me though that most other countries would be pleased to have a leader who published something besides a dry political tome.
I don’t get the negativity. Sorry.

  17. Sean says:

Holy crap does that ever look boring… and I’m a guy who actually enjoys reading about sports.
