—Today in 1976, the world changed forever
…well, my world did, anyway. Heard this, shaved my head, started wearing thrift store rags, and scrawled “ANARCHY” on the shirt I wore to the Bishop Carroll student council photo session. And the Social Blemishes (to become the Hot Nasties, who still have fans) took on an entirely new significance, overnight.
Jesus Christ Almighty, what a song this is. Thirty-seven years later, when I hear that opening riff and that laugh, it still literally sends chills down my spine.

A friend called me to come over and listen to an album called “The Clash” by “The Clash”. My musical tastes changed forever.
And I’m always blown away by the stage presence of the Sex Pistols. There is definitely an undefinable “IT” that some people and bands have, and they had “IT” in spades.
No wonder the blue hair rinse set thought the apocalypse had started.

I love it when rebels stay so true to their roots…….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mSE-Iy_tFY
Still love John Lydon though…..work is work….

God Save the Queen was my first exposure. Still gives this ardent anti-Monarchist goosebumps.
Saw the Pistols in T.O. in ’03 at the Molson Ampitheatre. Thought Dropkick Murphys stole the show, but it was great to see them live.

I loved that. Mel’s rock pile was always one of my favorite SCTV sketches.

Compared to today’s music their compositions sound like the angry Beatles.
