It worked for me with the PS3. Iwas looking for a particular version of the system that was the last one they made that was bacward compatible with PS2 games.
Everyone was sold out. Finally found it about 9 months later at a little store in Cederbrae Mall in Scarborough. He said he got three in when they were released and he still had 2.

get a grip. a new one will be out shortly, that will make this one obsolete.

Game consoles aren’t like iPhones or computers.
There is usually 6 or 7 years between the release of new systems.
Best bet might be to grease the palm of the manager at whichever games store the son frequents most. A $100 tip is cheaper than a 100% markup on eBay.
