I was up very, very late last night, on air, with the charming David Akin and the brilliant Michael Diamond, discussing Ontario municipal results and Alberta provincial results. It was a blast. Those two are the best.
Tonight, however, I will be at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus – to speak to political science students and staff about last night’s Toronto outcomes. If you are in the neighborhood, come on by and sling some gluten-free buns at me.

I’ll bet you had them in the first 60 seconds.
They were smart. Naturally, my judgment was colored by the fact that they had read one of my books.
To a one, seriously, they questioned why Chow did not get more critical of Tory earlier on.

Funny, I sort of envisioned Chow as the next Nenshi when Olivia first launched her campaign. But as things progressed, it was my impression that the wheels were coming off the campaign.
One wonders if it was really her failure to go negative early that sealed her fate. An electorate that could elect David Miller surely could have done the same for her. After all, she was very effective when on Council. For the life of me, I can’t sort this one out.
