    Didn’t you say this once…

How do you know when a campaign is in trouble?

When they start doing desperately stupid things…

    An aside…

Checked a bunch of “odds makers” sites, re: GOP Primary.

Trump is running about 1/1 odds.

But Rubio is right in tight behind him. And Cruz is virtually off the bottom of most charts.

What’s particularly interesting about this is to juxtas position this with the narrative among the MSM, which is basically…despite just 3 out of 50 some primaries, with only 30% support, and 60% unfavorable ratings…Trump has this in the bag.

Thing is, odds makers have actual money on the line. Usually their own money. So they try their damnedest to figure out what the real picture is, and where it’s going.

As opposed to political “commentators”, etc., most of whom can’t seem to come up with an original thought for love nor money! Whatever most of these people are getting paid, it’s waaaaay too much for what they’re contributing.

Moral of the story being, if you really want to get the best sense of how a political race is going, find out who is getting the best odds from the guys with the cash. And screw all the noise you hear from the hacks on Cable News programs!

People’s thoughts are, apparently, a sad state of affairs.

In Hugh MacLennan’s novel from the late 1950’s, the story is taking place in the 1930’s. On character says something like, …and in Germany they are charming evil out of people like a fakir with his whistle charming a cobra out of a basket.

I still don’t understand how this guy expects to win an election with this strategy. Earning the support of the angry wasps is at best a pyrrhic victory.

Sort of a sad commentary on “the people” and “what they’re thinking”.

As bad as Trump is, he would be nothing if they didn’t go out and support him. Sure, he’s baiting the frustration of these people in an unbelievably transparent and shameless way, but he could only see success if there was a path paved for him.

They say the devil entices us to act on our deepest of self-serving desires. Well, you can’t punish the devil for your own weaknesses. This is a revealing moment in history for America.

  6. Ron says:

Sow the wind Don, and the whirlwind will be right around the corner.
