Open letter to media

To summarize:

Here’s a suggestion: stop covering him.  Stop chronicling every bit of idiocy that issues from his sphincter-like mouth.  Deny him the very air he needs to breathe.

Do that, and this thing will get a bit more fair.  Until then, however, you are as much a part of his campaign as his campaign manager – you know, the one they just charged with assaulting a reporter.

Nobody insults the media better than I do, and they love me! Amazing!

Trump sells more advertising than the other candidates do.

Plus, you don’t want anyone, anywhere hearing about Gary Johnson’s ideas, or Jill Stein’s…bad enough they get a glimpse of Bernie Sanders every week or so.

  4. Curtis says:

Precisely the same advice i proffered the media when the Harper-led CPC corralled and manipulated the media in the 2011 election, to no avail as it turned out.

Ignoring the frontrunning candidate of the GOP is not going to happen. But here’s what we can realistically call for: expecting reporters to do their jobs and not settle for non-answers and microagressions from the guy at every turn. Let’s also give Americans a bit of credit: this is the oldest democracy in the world. They know a few things. Including how to deal with demagogues in their midst.

“this is the oldest democracy in the world.” We learn everyday something!

Donald trump is using Fear to try to convince people that he is the only person who can protect them from a enemy on the other side of the world. He says he knows how to fix everything and yet has not explained how he’s going to do anything. He manipulates the press with soundbites that he later denies.A dangerous man

If you accept the premise that the MSM is largely center-left and pro-HRC, then the explanation for the treatment of the four remaining candidates is quite easily explainable.

DT – maximum exposure “the more people see of him, the fence sitters and soft supporters have to be turned off at some point, right? Right?”
HRC – minimum exposure “people generally may like her, but not many could sit through a half hour of her and become any more enthused”
BS – minimum exposure “his views are catching on, better not show him too much in case he starts building too much momentum”
TC – just enough exposure to remind everyone he gives you the creeps
