This should be a cautionary tale about intervening in a volatile situation. The police should have been called immediately to deal with the lunatic. Confronting this person led to to two innocent people being murdered. It’s great that the two victims are being called heroes, but they’re dead now. Who is going to support their families? Provoking the person by sticking a camera in their face obviously didn’t work. Unless you are armed and capable of defending yourself (or others), you need to think twice before deciding to challenge a person like this maniac. He was probably anticipating that his actions would cause someone to react, and he was armed and ready to attack.

You didn’t read my entry Kevin. I didn’t say we should all be armed. I said unless you are armed, and capable of defending yourself, you had better be damn sure you know what you are doing and what you are getting into. Two amazing and caring individuals who thought they were doing the right thing are dead, and for what?

No doubt that American hero was only driven by economic uncertainty, just like the guy who painted vile racist slogans on Lebron James’ property.
