.. North American ‘politics’ currently operates inside this continent like a troubled mobile air bubble or a growing blood clot. Its also simply an ongoing event that is locked into a dangerous cascade – so politics is going over another tipping point. It does not end well – its not ending well. And of course, the cast of characters from the fake president on down are playing their parts with absurd hysteria.
Realistically these deeply screwed up political trough dwellers and personalities are total sellouts, on drugs & selling drugs.. its just that media and politics and the grifter world have become the drug.. the new fentanyl as they are so pervsasively linked into, uber visible & dominating social media & TV
The patient (we the citizens) will collapse, diring the traumatic event, linger weakly, possibly for a while, until the next part of the cascade or charade.. Maybe that’s ‘the rapture’ – Donald Trump – as blood clot – as the godhead – as bringer of end times.. ? These kind of folks are too big to jail now, the new/old & mewling rancid royalty – The Trumps & their showy rich sidekicks will survive lf course.. loitering at their country clubs, the State Capitol debut balls or their super yachts and pimping Big Energy & faux evengelistic family values

The North Korean leader is now testing his missiles over an American ally, and, now has the capability to arm his missiles with nuclear war heads.
The President of the United States walks into a very corrupt and a very inept United Nations and says to the North Korean leader and to the World that should they decide to use those weapons he will destroy them and their country.
And progressives think the US President is insane?
JFK threatened the Soviet Union with war should Russian ships get anywhere close to Cuba, and, progressive Liberals shrieked in horror.
Of all the crazy things this current US President has said and done this is probably the most Presidential.
Letters to the UN, sanctions, nods of disapproval may play well to a Liberal base but they play into the hands of dictators and mad men.
Sooner or later a US President was going to have to stand up and say no more, its unfortunate that the Democrats let the situation deteriorate to a point where a person like Trump became President, but, he’s there now and he’s standing up.
Like JFK did.

How do you prevent North Korea from developing nuclear weapons without killing millions of people? The sanctions are already as harsh as they can be.

The threat has been implied for 50 years. Repeating it in such a course manner will only increase mistrust and fear and encourage more weapons development so the regime can protect itself better.
By the way the UN has succeeded at its founding goal of preventing World War III and virtually eliminated wars between countries.

Why do you think North Korea wants nuclear weapons? I thought it was obvious to everyone it was to prevent it from being invaded like Iraq was. They know they is no way they could win a war against the US.

That said, I’m watching ‘The Vietnam War’ currently airing on PBS, and am reminded nightly how so many intelligent people, including JFK, got it so horribly wrong.
