Morrissey is a racist POS

I’ve destroyed any Smiths stuff I owned.  I’m not going put money in the pocket of this racist, fascistic, bigoted piece of shit.

  1. I always never much liked the Smiths. I believe the DK’s Nazi Punks Fuck Off is in order here.

Sadly this isn’t the first time he’s made comments like this: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/jul/23/morrissey-when-did-charming-become-cranky-smiths-england-is-mine

“On 23 May, however, Morrissey published a dog-whistling Facebook post about the terrorist attack in Manchester which criticised Sadiq Khan, immigration and political correctness: “In modern Britain everyone seems petrified to officially say what we all say in private.”

Whoa! A hundred years later and Morrissey restates Kitchener’s quip about a certain group only respecting muskets and swords. The English bleed their history unwittingly.

I always find it depressing, the lack of knowledge that people have about fascism in Germany and what it actually meant and represented. It’s so often dumbed down to some right-left thing, when the reality is much more complex than that. Hitler and the Nazis, though they were madmen, very cleverly co-opted and integrated elements of both right-wing nationalism and socialism.

William Allen, in his excellent book The Nazi Seizure of Power, explains this well. Thus the morphable name of the Nazi Party, the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. To right-wing nationalists, the Nazis would play up the “National German” part. To left-wingers, they would emphasize the “Socialist Workers'” part. The Nazis would actually alter their signage, depending on the political leanings of the audience they were pitching to.

Yet you go on internet comment boards, and partisan dickheads both left and right try to blame Hitler on one another.

Don’t burn the solo work… the man’s a genius, such contribution!
