I've known @gmbutts for years. What I saw today (had to skip some for a call) was a reflection of the person I've seen in every setting in which we've interacted. He's careful, honest, and very deliberate with his words. No question I believe what he had to say today. #cdnpoli— Andrew Leach (@andrew_leach) March 6, 2019
I take Wilson-Raybould's testimony seriously, but I know this for a fact: Gerry Butts is an honest person. I have seen him working behind the scenes in completely unguarded settings. We didn't always agree, but everything I saw spoke to his integrity. I believe his testimony.— Roland Paris (@rolandparis) March 6, 2019
Come on, Gord . You already know that everyone testifying before that committee does so under the threat of penalty for perjuring themself, and that the committee hasn’t sworn in a witness in 25 years.
Just received a robo-call from Andrew Kania (former Liberal MP, elected 2008). He is running for the Conservative nomination in Brampton South. SNC among the reasons cited.
There is no way in heck that Trudeau elicited the contempt that Nixon did back in the Watergate days. Nixon stood in the way of resolving the Vietnam debacle whereas Trudeau would never stoop to the level of Nixon on his worst days.
Nixon was pure unadulterated slimedouchery so the comparison is a bit much from my perspective. It is a funny characterization though wholly inaccurate IMO.
Nixon’s “plan” to keep the commies at bay was a fraud and anyone with a brain knew the South Vietnamese government was on borrowed time. As history demonstrated.
Serious question: can anybody explain to me the significance – if any – of Nathalie Drouin’s testimony that JWR told her not to forward a requested impact report to the PCO?
I hear some Liberal supporters harping on this point as though it’s a smoking gun that discredits JWR completely, but I honestly don’t see why. I just don’t understand why it’s relevant. Even if it was wrong of her to do so – and I thought from Ms Drouin’s testimony that it was within the AG’s rights to do it – two wrongs don’t make a right.
To me it just seems irrelevant. What am I missing?
Gargantuan doesn’t even begin to describe this guys ego, not to mention his tone deafness. I think he’s genuinely confused as to why people are still talking about this.
I’m Prime Minister Trudeau, PRIME MINISTER TRUDEAU FFS!
Also, interesting snippet from yesterday, handsy Kent Hehr said that he believes JWR and is proud to stand with her. I think he’s at least smart enough to realize the Trudeau brand is getting toxic, at least out west.

Picture made me LOL. If only Justin had the gravitas and intelligence of RMN…
Ethically both were/are deeply flawed though I think RMN was far more aware of his flaws than JT.

Coordinated tweets? Are there others?

Then why didn’t he testify under oath?

And you would be wrong.
Nixon got The IS out of Vietnam with a plan keep the commies at bay. Something the Dems couldn’t do and that they blocked after Nixon was gone.

I think there is another similarity:
Trudeau’s “plan” to keep democracy at bay is a fraud and anyone with a brain knows the Liberal government is on borrowed time. It will be historic.
