    I remember.
In the period following his death a lot of scandalous trashy information was unearthed, and the confusion over the assassination blocked an honest examination of Kennedy as an historical figure. His achievements were muddied.
In the past few decades media has begun to go back, cut through the fog of misrepresentation, and actually play segments of famous speeches such as Inaugural, Berlin, space race, and quite a few others.
When you hear that voice unfiltered, your attention is once again riveted: intelligence, clarity, vision and depth.
And you look around at leaders today: shallow, glib, short sighted, and self serving.
More than nostalgia as we look back.

I would recommend anyone who is interested in that day and what happened Bugliosi’s book:

Reclaiming History: The Assassination Of President John F Kennedy https://www.amazon.ca/dp/0393045250/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ZBk2DbQCADT3M

An amazing body of work. His documenting of what LBJ did the moment he stepped into the Oval Office as president for the first time blew my mind.
