To be fair a Pirate custome is a giant step up from Brown/Blacl face so it feels like a huge improvement.
Funny how the virtue signaler in chief has absolutely no problem with quite deliberately raiding the developing world’s only hope for vaccine supplies. Nice, classy. But then again, a self-absorbed egotist’s re-election is far more important in the overall scheme of things.
But… but… Stephen Harper! Climate change! Random payment to allegedly-aggrieved special interest group!

Of course COVAX was set up so that the developed counties would pay for the vaccines and would get half of them, while the rest would go to developing counties. Of course other G7 counties are receiving any from COVAX because they are too selfish to contribute a significant amount of funding.
Maybe you have old info? On a per capita basis, the USA, Germany, and the UK have contributed more than us to COVAX.
The US and UK made pleges recently, but Canada did several months ago.
And a Trudeau pledge is worth what?
Fair point but voters won’t care. Canadians unfortunately remain pretty much indifferent-to-hostile when it comes to foreign aid. And this pretty much falls under that category.
