   I remember dog sitting. I started taking the black lab I was caring for to the ocean. She was used to chasing sticks, but I started taking her to the ocean and throwing the stick over an outcrop of rocks, as far as I could throw – the dog loved it. When my sister got back from her honeymoon they were shocked to find that the dog had lost all kinds of weight. She’d been eating enough, trust me, but the added exercise of swimming really peeled off the pounds – great exercise getting the dogs swimming in the lake or ocean.
