Funny, I kept turning the sound down because I thought a woodpecker was banging on the side of my cottage. We have a gun range about a mile from our particular area of paradise out in the middle of Brant County. The Toronto types looking for a “deal” who move in to our area are not fans. Self-sabotage-love that term. Would have been interesting to have the latest Mark Gerritsen idiocy segue into a discussion about the problematic standing O in the house for that Nazi. Oh and loved the Replacements stuff. Just noticed that Gabriel either owes them royalties or vice versa on Within Your reach and that is not a bad thing.

  2. Warren,

It was the job of Quebec anglophones to stay in Quebec, post-1976, and fight politically for our rights. That’s what our family did but truthfully, so many others took the easy way out and left, most of them went to Ontario. Some of my own relatives did it as well. In my book, that can hardly be labelled as courageous. I’ll bet that if Warren Kinsella was head of household then, he would have stayed as well and fought for his community’s rights.

  3. Warren,

Let me put it in the starkest terms possible: all polls now are as welcome as premature ejaculation. We simply are too far out from an election for any of them to matter in the end. So, Pierre needs to focus on running as if he’s still the underdog. Keep it that way right up to election day.

  4. Warren,

The only way to end this war is to win it, or failing that to fast-track Ukraine NATO membership. If the stupid fools in power across the Alliance did that, it would provoke an immediate ceasefire request from Putin. Putin can’t take on NATO and win and he bloody well knows it.

Make no mistake, we can fight Russia now or inevitably fight Putin later but either way we WILL fight Russia in the next world war. The only thing up in the air is timing. Nothing more.

  5. You see, the next world war will be exactly like the last one: a war between Good and Evil. That collision course is a meeting with destiny and Good, like always, will win that war in the end. The only thing in doubt is what Xi will do. If he backs Russia in that war, he and the Chinese nation will pay a severe price for backing the demon seeds.

  6. Jewish group demands apology after MPs honoured man who fought for Nazis.

What the fuck is this? Are our parliamentarians just lazy or complete idiots? Totally unacceptable. This guy allegedly fought, allied with the Nazis!

Ukraine collaborated with the Nazis, to some extent, in that war. Hitler even had a Ukrainian headquarters. What a pathetic and disgraceful act. Makes me ashamed to be a Canadian.

  7. Ah shit, Trump isn’t dead. But I can dream, can’t I? Somehow hacked Don Jr.’s X account.

Rota just took the call for Hunka. Horrible. I don’t believe it for a second. Justin is not exactly Truman and his buck. Another good person/organization caught up in Justin’s shit.

    • Martin Dixon says:

Fall. Damn. Reading some of the responses. Anyone who believes this was his fault is naive and hasn’t been paying attention the last 8 years. Feel bad for the guy actually.

  9. Rota takes responsibility. Bullshit. Doesn’t sound like a true or heartfelt apology to me. If it WAS, Rota would have resigned as speaker. But that just isn’t the TRUDEAU Liberal way, now is it?

    • The various Canadian and worldwide Jewish groups want accountability, not just a meaningless apology. That’s what the Israeli and worldwide Jewish community deserve. Nothing less. They need to be pushing for resignations here. Rota needs to go and so does Freeland. After all, her mother is of Ukrainian descent. Looks hardly credible that a former journalist with those connections had absolutely no idea what the First Ukrainian Division was. If Chrystia had no idea, c’est pas fort, as we say in French.

  10. Martin Dixon says:

Quick question for those that went after my friend Dean Allison so hard a few months ago, are Goold(sic), Rota and the guy in the middle going to get the same treatment? She deleted her tweet but someone got a screen shot.

More on Goold(sic) and the pic above. From Hansard. I watched that QP.

“Hon. Karina Gould (Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Lib.):
Mr. Speaker, emotions are obviously running very high right now, and I think it is incumbent on all of us to take a step back and reflect on the values of the House.
I am also a proud Jewish woman who is the descendant of Holocaust survivors. My family found refuge, support and a life in this country. We must listen to each other and must ensure that no one in the House is standing with those who support white supremacy, who support Nazi views or who look to contribute to and enable racist views. I ask that all of us in the House use our words judiciously, including the member opposite, who just yelled out something completely inappropriate. All of us have reason to be here. I call on the members opposite not to stand with those who are sharing those views.
How does it feel, as a person in the House, to see colleagues taking pictures with people who are looking to overthrow the government? That is what I ask those colleagues to think about.”

After listening to Warren’s podcast, I think he has the right take on how PM Trudeau handled the information vis-a-vis Indian interference. Since the Globe was going to publish something, he was compelled to go public (something I hadn’t considered previously).

    • Gloriosus et Liber says:

All the PM could have said was “This crime is still under investigation”. Done. Let Poilievre whine.

Just listened to Brian Lilley’s interview with Ujjal Dosanjh. The RCMP are still showing pictures of the suspects to people in the community asking if they know who they are. That indicates the RCMP are still looking for suspects. Also, it appears that Nijjar was in a feud with murdered reformed Khalistani and acquitted Air India suspect, Ripudaman Singh Malik’s family. In short, Dosanjh was very critical of the PM making this public.
