GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES: LOCK HIM UP

Woooot!

Trump will be sentenced four days before the Republican convention.

I wonder if they will permit a convicted felon to vote? US law says they shouldn’t: Ramirez, 418 U.S. 24 (1974).

Should spend the rest of his days with his neck chained to the grimiest wall at GTMO.

  2. Warren,

What passes for a Supreme Court these days will bend backward and pretzel the law any which way but loose to favour Trump in any future judicial proceeding.

And before that, an appellate court will make sure that Trump doesn’t serve a Day in jail until all his appeals have been exhausted.

Hopefully, this is enough to turn lots of votes in order to prevent Trump from winning the presidency in November.

And if Trump wins … it’ll be open season on Biden.
      You know, tic for tac.

      • Sean says:

Well, it wasn’t open season on Hillary… The thing most people seem to forget is that his staff / cabinet mostly ignored him and prevented him from doing anything while in office. No wall, Hillary not locked up, no muslim ban, Obama care is still running. With the exception of the SC appointments, he was blocked at almost every turn. So if he wins, precisely nothing will happen to Biden.

      • Douglas,

Fortunately, by and large, the judiciary is not a total disgrace. They’ve left that task to the tainted and partial Justices Alito, Thomas and the intrepid Judge Cannon. Criminal convictions are not puff pastry. They don’t come as easily as Trump thinks. Absolutely agree with Sean.

I think he will lose any appeal. I suspect they will refuse to even hear it.

His followers are suckers for imagining that they are always on the winning team. That’s the natural attraction to bullies and why they are so often enabled. They thought he’d win this one. Today’s verdict brings the loser stink into the kitchen even heavier than the election loss IMO. Why? Because they have no one else to project their angry energy towards. IE Hillary, Obama and Biden etc… Can’t blame them for this.

Some candidates only enjoy ephemeral popularity because low attention middle of the road people *perceive* that they are already popular. Once the loser stink sets in, things fizzle out. Stockwell Day, Sarah Palin, Michael Ignatieff were like that… I suspect the polls will reflect Trump’s loser stink in a few weeks.

I’d be excited if I had even a shred of belief that he won’t immediately be reelected by the horribly-educated, GOP-dominated system regardless of what he did, because theyve successfully deluded themselves into thinking any trial involving a Republican has only 2 possible outcomes: acquittal, or proof of a government conspiracy.
