Gateway District find of the week-thank-you. And, as always, that Worriers track is amazing.
As far as Toronto council goes(and all politicians basically), the old adage “watch what they do, not what they say” applies. We have seen them for who they are.
At least the Gazan Health Authority is now discredited worldwide. That’s the only reason why they publicly changed their previous estimates. But the true believers will just yawn and continue to believe what they put out.
I’m only 25% Irish. Sure there were many fascists there in WWII but some individual Irish, roughly 43,000 to 70,000 enrolled in the British forces. That’s out of a population of roughly 3,000,000.
As for antisemitism, there’s plenty of it in Ireland, and it’s about at the same level as in the UK. Both Chamberlain and Churchill were antisemitic at times.
However, the Irish decision on Palestine is inappropriate given the massacres. Perhaps not inappropriate a decade from now but tone-deaf in 2024. To say it lacks moral clarity is the understatement of the decade.
They were 6,500,000 before the deliberate famine and starvation and even today they are only back to 5,000,000. Not a real excuse for neutrality, but hard feelings tend to linger.
This is getting a lot of play and I generally agree with your last sentence but this is terrible journalism. We don’t have the whole story or she got bad advice not to mention there is nothing really new here.
Did she even get professional advice? If she did, they’re as big a bunch of dolts as Trumpers are, but I suspect she sought no advice. Oh well, stupid is as stupid does.

At least neutral Sweden went out of its way to save most of Denmark’s Jews. But I digress.
Best news podcast running, and I listen to a lot these days.
Also – I don’t know WTF Substack is… Sounds like a trendy / hip sandwich joint or something… But I’ll check it out for sure!
Sean,
I’ve been on for a while (Greg Mannarino and Éric Grenier) but now am also on for Warren.
