  1. Warren,

    Denial and self-pity.

  2. Warren,

Biden didn’t remove the Trump Tariffs. Interesting. I lost my last case because of those tariffs. What is Pierre supposed to say when both parties are for maintaining them? No one gives a shit what Poilièvre or Trudeau thinks or does about them. They are there and will remain there. Period.

    • Martin Dixon says:

That actually buttresses the argument that Biden supporters are making. They are making the case that it doesn’t matter if Biden is not competent, the people behind the scenes are making the decisions. What they don’t see though is that also supports the view that T will be the same figurehead. It is a massive tanker that can’t be turned on a dime. I have always maintained that the US would have gone into Iraq whether Gore won or not n 2000.

      • Martin,

It depends. Remember that WMD was used as a pretext by Bush to invade. Very few doubted it was a manufactured lie. But the real reason Bush wanted to get Saddam Hussein was because he tried to off 41 after the liberation of Kuwait. It was get even time.

  3. Martin Dixon says:

Finally watched the ABC interview. Joe was asked if he had watched the debate.

    He said-no I don’t think I did.

    WHAT!

    How can he not remember.

  4. Warren,

Biden’s 4th year number (percentage) is three points behind Trump’s during his last year in office. And Trump lost.

The longer this farce goes on, the more Biden’s numbers will seriously tank. It’s inevitable.

  5. Sean says:

Almost everyone – especially political people – always insist that leadership change is impossible. After change happens the same people insist that they knew it was inevitable all along. Watch it happen to Biden… watch the same phenomenon with Justin…. Why does this peculiar phenomenon happen? Because people love pretending that they are “in the know”, when in fat they know nothing….
and the people around them are easy suckers for believing it.

  6. Warren,

To Jeffries, I say, prepare to LOSE. Because you will.

  7. Warren,

It’s so fucking insulting to see Jean-Pierre treating the press corps (and the American people) as if they were infants. These people are clueless, candidate on down.

Total bullshit that the name of the person the Parkinson’s specialist met with can’t be revealed for confidentiality reasons. Still NO on a cognitive test for Biden.

Those imbeciles…keep digging with your little shovels. And thanks for going out of your way to make Trump president!

  8. Peter Williams says:

There’s so much disinformation coming from the Biden administration, that one wonders if they’ve been taken over by the Russians.

  9. Sean says:

Watching the CNN interviews re. the Neurologist visits etc… I feel they are playing games with the information flow / IE meetings taking place between personal doctor and the neurologist rather than with the patient etc… and hoping the viewers will extrapolate that means the patient is A+. Its all really pathetic / desperate and a very sad way to end such an impactful political career….

AND – more importantly – they are saddling the replacement candidate with explaining all this baloney. They are making it impossible for Harris in particular to take over because *she is part of the administration* and thus directly tied to the cover up.

They need to address the nation in the next 48 hours and explain that he is out. It will be painful, but it is over… over… over….

    • Sean,

These people probably aren’t smart enough to put an ethical wall of separation between the West and East wings. So, like you say, it could quite conceivably burn Harris badly.

I don’t think the super delegates will allow for an open convention. If that’s the case, then it’s Harris, badly wounded or less wounded.

  10. Gilbert says:

Joe Biden is a very ineffective president, and he never should have become the nominee. There were far better candidates. Now it’s clear he’s not running the country and he needs to go regardless of what his ambitious wife tells him.

  11. Warren,

AOC says the matter is “closed.” That’s why she supports Biden. Let me translate: the fix is IN, that’s why AOC supports the President.

Trump is probably laughing so hard, he might get a heart attack.

  12. Warren,

Well, Hillary is having a good day!

    From The Independent:

“Kamala Harris pulls ahead of Joe in Trump matchup — but Hillary beats them both, poll finds”

“The poll, conducted by the Democratic firm Bendixen & Amandi, shows Biden slightly behind Trump, 42 to 43 percent. Meanwhile, Harris has inched past Trump, 42 to 41 percent, as Clinton pulls ahead of the former president, 43 to 41 percent. Of course, while Harris is one of the top alternatives to Biden should he choose to step aside, Clinton hasn’t been seriously discussed as an option.”

“All told, 33 percent said Biden should carry on as the Democratic nominee and 52 percent said he should bow out.”

  13. And then there’s Carville.

    From The Daily Mail:

“Clinton strategist James Carville says Biden WILL drop out of the race”

“He pitches a series of town halls overseen by Obama and Bill Clinton

He predicts Biden is getting out but urges against ‘anointing’ Harris”

“Carville called the idea that Biden will step down ‘inevitable’ in an appearance on News Nation, even as he [Biden] assures lawmakers he will be the nominee. “

  14. Warren,

I wanted Biden out yesterday, but I greatly regret this humiliating drip, drip, drip process that Biden is putting himself and his family through. It gets infinitely worse with each passing day.

He’s taking too much time to realize that he’s finished politically. So, his inevitable “choice” with time won’t be one. In the end, he’ll be gone and pressured out of his nomination as candidate. He deserved far better than this undignified exit, but he made his bed. But for that damned Hunter, he would likely already be gone. That asshole is manipulating and taking advantage of a vulnerable person exclusively for his benefit. I won’t cry if Hunter ultimately gets a stretch in the slammer. No, sir.

    • Warren,

You’ve got to give it to him: Biden has got guts.

    • Warren,

It’s a miracle! Wow, what a difference. It’s enough for me to hold my fire, put down the rhetorical gun, and hope for the best on election day. We may still lose, but Biden is doing his best.

Christ, I still like the guy.

      • Gilbert says:

Joe Biden is a very boring speaker. He overuses “folks”, “look”, “I’m serious” and “No joke.” If he were wise, he’d make his speeches shorter.

  15. Peter Williams says:

    PMO unhappy with Freeland.

    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-pmo-officials-worry-freelands-economic-messaging-has-been-ineffective/

Looks like Trudeau will throw anyone under the bus.

    • Peter,

Freeland’s economic message has been ineffective because people want to hear diddly from a messenger perceived to be only a representative of a wholly discredited Prime Minister. If this guy thinks that Carney as Finance Minister can re-float this capsizing and sinking ship, he’s delusional beyond belief.

      • Martin Dixon says:

Not to mention that if Carney is stupid enough to step into this shit-show, who really believes that naming an out of touch elite like him to cabinet without putting him through the inconvenience of an election is going to be a popular move?

        • Martin,

They can’t name him to the Ministry for any considerable length before he has to run in at least a byelection. Or, they can name him to the Senate, but I doubt that one considerably because Liberal Senators aren’t even LIBERAL Senators anymore.

  16. Peter Williams says:

Justin lives in a 22 room house, and also has a 16 room house at Harrington Lake. Yet he tells the rest of us we need to move into smaller houses.

    You first Justin.
