I have no idea now where the Biden Saga is going. It seems to be Schiff, Schumer, Pelosi and others (Obama privately) on one side but with Bill and Hillary on the other.
I can’t figure out the real power dynamic or where this is going. Some say Biden will leave the race in days. What a nightmare, no matter which way it ends.

If Biden leaves, I expect it to be Harris and the most successful Democratic governor absent Newsom, since they’re both from California. The new flavour of the month is Shapiro.
I’m a Conservative and in the US would be a normal Republican so I’ll start by saying Trump is NOT a Republican. He admitted in his speech he’s from the other side. He is a grifter that wanted power and found his route to it in the power vacuum that was the Republican Party at the time. If the Democrats were having those issues at the time he would’ve been a Democrat President. He is a repulsive human. I cringe when he talks about the evil dictators (except Iran) of the world and how he’s friends with them. He is a protectionist and Isolationist like a true Democrat. Maybe we’ll be lucky and like last time it’s mostly bluster. I don’t actually think he wants to leave NATO and if he can force Canada to pony up for our military that’s a good thing. In the Middle East he’ll be solidly for Israel. He’ll be against China. I worry for Ukraine. Our energy sector will thrive and I think trade will survive with some bumpy patches so he can look tough. If US democracy is weak enough that Trump can destroy it then maybe that’s what it deserves. The hyperbole is tiring. Yes Trump is a terrible person but democracy, Canada, the US and most of the world will survive. He won’t be worse for Canada then Trudeau has been.

It was the White House staff during his Administration that talked Mr.BatShitCrazyTM off the ledge on any number of domestic and international issues. One of them was regarding his desire to leave NATO.
This time, if he wins, no professionals will be in The West Wing. Only dutiful zealots and kooks. God help the United States if this bastard gets back into office once again.
Unfortunately the Dems will panic pick a candidate as appealing as Trump.

No one of significant Democratic Party rank will challenge Harris. So, it’s hers.
I think it will be Kamala Harris and Josh Shapiro. George Soros, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos will be happy. The Democrats used to be the party of the working class.
