The most ridiculous thing about the bot “controversy” is that the most upset folks on X were nameless, faceless Tru-anons. Who knows who is paying them. They don’t do irony very well.
I’d be intrigued to know Warren’s thoughts on KH’s rapid response operation….. They are looking pretty sharp IMO. The AI / crowd size silliness seems to have been dismissed pretty quickly with fast moving surrogates / experts delivered on demand to major media. They seem to have killed the story in less than 24 hours. Same with the “turned black” nonsense. Looks way more aggressive than Clinton and Biden’s campaigns IMO.
Some guy named Dominic Cardy who can’t seem to make up his mind what his party affiliation is says the Future Party will be running candidates in the by-elections. Part of his platform seems to be he doesn’t like the current discourse and, yet, he went on P and P and told me and the other 4 or 5 people that were watching that Pierre would take us back to the 30s. He should read a book. There was a depression in the 30s. No matter what you think of Pierre, I am reasonably certain that is not his goal. Quite funny. Another John Turmel.
Cardy’s promoting views that the majority of Canadians share, but that almost none of them will vote for because logical decision making is nowhere near as much fun as pointing fingers.
That he is literally doing himself while pontificating about the current discourse, so, please. Do you think that Pierre will take us back to the 30s? I’ll wait. I’m just here for the hypocrisy.
Back to the 30s? I don’t think so. What’s more realistic, bordering in almost certainty, is that Poilievre is going to do the same self-righteous and unhelpful shit Trudeau does, but this time with a Conservative bent.
We don’t have good choices in this country. Change for the sake of change is the winning ticket in 2025, and that rarely leads to success. So I’ll applaud Cardy for the sentiment, as meaningless as his effort will be.
He is a ridiculous hypocrite moaning about the discourse and literally playing that game in his first interview plus he can’t seem to make up what party he belongs to. Spare me. No applause here.

If that party had a serious comms shop and a mildly charismatic leader, I think people would be surprised how many votes they’d get. Including mine.
He has hundreds of new members and has collected thousands of dollars. Decent effort if you are running for the nomination in a riding. Yawn.
