I think the Montreal riots all but assure a Conservative win in the riding of Mount Royal, currently represented by Anthony Housefather. It will be the first win on the island of Montreal for any conservative federal party since 1988.
Housefather should cross the aisle.
No. He isn’t a conservative on ANY issue. I’d prefer an actual conservative win that seat, understanding of course that ‘conservative’ in Montreal would necessarily be different from conservative in most of the rest of the country.
Look no one enjoys this denuding of liberal fortunes more than yours truly.
Now let’s be real, the riding is 44 plus percent “Christian” let’s supper that faction is typical white-urban-progressive-voters. That’s a group that exudes Liberalism. If the conservatives capture 100% of the Jewish vote it still leaves them hard pressed to win in a riding that’s been liberal since the senior prime minister Trudeau was in law school.
Love to see it but holding my breath – no – hell no.
If Housefather is the liberal candidate he will still get a good share of his fellow Jewish vote to eke it out.
I actually didn’t know that much about him until now when I checked him out. I do know when I see him speak in the HOC or in committee, he does not strike me as a kool-aid drinking cult following lunatic like the bulk of the Liberal caucus and he does seem to have an actual brain which is also in short supply. So he does have all of that going for him.
I reserve my Sunday evenings in order to listen to Warren’s “Kinsellacast”. 337 was one of the best. Warren nailed it. I would recommend that everyone who appreciates the good fight that Warren and his friend have undertaken watch Brian Lilley’s latest video about what took place in Toronto this weekend.
