Maybe I am wrong but I find it hard to believe that Pierre doesn’t have a plan which he will unveil when we know exactly what we are dealing with. I just don’t think that the guy who took down a Liberal cabinet minister at age 25 by working his ass off is curled up in the fetal position saying woe is me, what am I going to do.
Forming a committee where Rachel Notley is one of the members does not really strike me as a plan. Oh and a former Dragon’s Den “star” too. Might as well have got O’Leary.
Maybe he has back channels going on-Jivani and Vance? As far as what we dealing with, who knows. You would think that if Nutrien shareholders(as an example) were worried that the feds are going to force them to curtail their potash shipments to American farmers, the stock price would be dropping but it isn’t.
I have told my staff and partners for over 40 years to prepare for the worse but there is no point fretting about it in the meantime because the worse rarely happens. I’m certainly not going to rejig any investments no matter what happens tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I am going to enjoy checking out Dead Pony and OH! Daisy. Both tracks bangers.
The big question in the next election is ……………Who do you want to negotiate a trade deal for Canada? Well, Freeland is a proven negotiator, and Carny has steered numerous economies through tumult, Poilievre is a clown popping off one liners, disseminating misinformation from his bologna factory – he just isn’t a serious negotiator, and I guarantee he’ll get on his knees for Trump
We aren’t 20-25 points ahead in the polls for the last two years because our leader is stupid or a right-wing fanatic. You should really finally ditch those TrudeauTalkingPointsTM since they sure as hell didn’t work for him, so why would they work for you?
These people think they are applying a lesson from the Harris campaign. She said she couldn’t think of a thing she would have changed in the last 4 years. That hurt her campaign. The problem here, of course, is that THEY(Carney and Freeland) are now running against things they either supported or brought in themselves. And there is the very inconvenient point that Freeland and the rest of her cabal kept arguing it only impacted .13% of Canadians. Which was a lie, of course. But many idiotic Tru-anons defended it. So, I ask them, are they now conceding it was a lie or are they cheering on the fact that Freeland is now running against her policy to help those .13%. The debate talking point write themselves. I hope she wins.
They think they are better off with Carney. But the CPC will make mincemeat with him in the first week of the campaign. Some argued that Michael was an elitist. If that assessment is fair, then that makes Carney an elitist’s ELITIST. Just Visiting was nothing compared to what’s coming fast for Carney.
Not that Justin would ever ask me to sit on a committee in a million years but, if asked, I would make it a condition that there be no hugging involved. What the heck is wrong with a firm handshake?
She’s got chutzpah in spades. Freeland is dreaming if she thinks Canadians will fall for that. Right now, she is the underdog, primarily because she is Trudeau’s Heseltine and that’s working against her to some degree already.
“ SHRUGGING ABOUT TRUMP’s threats is not a Fu***ng strategy!” Love it. Brilliant! Put that on a Tshirt!

Oh and “sphincter mouth” was pretty funny.
Pierre is a right wing sycophant – the last guy you want negotiating a trade deal – he’ll sell us out I guarantee
You still aren’t paying attention.

Nonsense. All of it.
Martin,
No one is a greater master at succinct than you are. LOL.
Curious,

I just saw on P and P that Freeland is going to run against the Ottawa establishment. I have news.

Just signed up to vote for her! Go Chrystia!
