Candid Carney comment
Mark Carney’s running an effective campaign.
It’s low-bridge, it avoids media, yes, it doesn’t say much. But he’s doing well not just because voters have suddenly started to dislike Poilievre (Poilievre has never been universally loved).
He’s doing well because he’s run a good campaign.
As PET said, timing is everything.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a candidacy more perfectly timed than Carney in the winter of 2025.
But it won’t last and he will need to call the election immediately.
When a Liberal avoids the media, it’s smart strategy.
When a Conservative avoids the media, it’s fascism.
The Liberal Party is now trying to ban Ruby Dhalla just in time for the debates. She has stated that she plans to go after Carney, so the Liberals will manufacture an excuse to prevent her from attending.
I have news.
When it’s election time I wonder if he will participate in debates and if so how genuine he will come across with Pierre hammering him.

If we haven’t started to knock him down effectively, then the CPC is already running a bad campaign.
Diminish the Liberal brand.
Remember the past nine years?

Absolutely, it’s the same old crowd. No question. But too many people seemingly are OK with changing the guy at the top and then usefully forgetting the rest: Liberal incompetence and corruption. Increasing numbers are willing to give all of this a pass — simply mind-boggling but who said politics was fair or honorable?
Liberal politics: everything is rigged
It’s going well for him for sure. Friendly media, controlled and secure talking points with no one to challenge him. Replacing Trudeau. Worked for Harper( to what capacity who knows). Problem is Harper and Pierre worked with him and Pierre will know how to get under his skin with all his dirty financial and ideological quirks. If Carney Debates Pierre his shine may rub off. I watched an older clip of Pierre hammering him on his support of foreign pipelines and he did not come across as genuine. How all this will play out. Hard to say.
He came across as a hypocrite and Pierre tore him to pieces.
Pierre’s style works well with his base, but with the general public it’s likely to scare away, and turn of more than it turns on.

They are claiming some serious improprieties. They better have solid evidence of that; otherwise, this thing will blow up right in their faces.
Dhalla turfed immediately after reaching the required $350,000 threshold. Ha !
Carney raises $1.9-million. It’s all clean money, right?
Lots of folks from “away” did the maximum 1750.00 from world financial centers like London and New York. That, of course, does not mean they were not eligible to vote but it does say other things about where his support comes from.
My wife and I make political donations all the time on the same cc. Which is fine and legal. Those were 6 of the “improprieties”.
