  1. Warren,

    E. is back! Loved it the last time when she put that Warren guy in his place. (Don’t tell that Warren guy cause he might tell me to fuck off. Maybe.)

  2. Warren,

No one saw 2015 in Liberal circles. So, anything is at least theoretically possible. But the CPC odds are still pretty good.

  3. Warren,

Pierre has a Ford problem: both are less popular than their party. I wonder why? That was the case even before Trump. Will they both win or lose, or split the difference?

  4. Warren,

Trudeau doesn’t want Freeland. I wonder why?

  5. Warren,

Yup, Brian is dead on. It is a free pass until he stumbles badly. Then it will be a negative feeding frenzy. With friends like those…

  6. E.,

The monarch likes Trump, unlike the previous one.

  7. Warren,

Tell E. not to forget her CUSMA Certificate for Mexico and the Certification of Origin Statement on the Commercial Invoice coming out of the EU or EFTA. Otherwise, it’s Duty time.

  8. Warren,

Why Parliament? Jagmeet will only rubber stamp whatever the Liberals want…same old, same old.

  9. Karl,

Look up Andrew Jackson, Trump’s hero. Manifest Destiny, etc.

  10. Tasha,

The Northwest Passage is not Canadian territory so sayeth countless American administrations.

  11. Warren,

A lot of Canadian MAGA are with Bernier and the PPC.

  12. Warren,

Pierre needs to come out strongly and consistently against Trump. Otherwise, the Liberals could keep gaining ground.

  13. Warren,

Every time Smith kisses the ring, the CPC loses support in the polls. No kidding! Smith…

  14. Warren,

As for Pierre, no daylight between him and Smith will mean an election loss. Danielle, the best friend the Liberals ever had… right, Pierre?

I am an unabashed fan of “E”. An erudite and eloquent speaker. It might be “gilding the lily” to say that her segments are the show’s highlights, but…

  16. Warren,

Dead on. You’ve basically predicted steel and aluminum tariffs. Bang on. What a strategist!

WETLOOK and Surfbort tracks great. WETLOOK channels The Killers.

With E on staying calm.I am in a business where I can get potentially sued for a multiple of seven figures so constantly looking at the worst possible scenario will drive you nuts-literally.

I do hope there are people that know what they are doing dealing with it but thinking not. This quote from a local newspaper actually made me laugh.

“Davis said city officials have been in contact with those in the business community including John Oddi, president of the Chamber of Commerce Brantford-Brant, as well as local non-profit agencies and charities.”

And the problem is that every time I see that Flavio guy(head of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association) on TV(and he is on A LOT), I am reminded of the president of a local small town breakfast group made up primarily of massage therapists and mutli level marketing types.

I think the Liberals are gonna win the next election because Carney is the most trusted to deal with Trump, and that’s gonna be the question people ask when they cast their ballot. Also, as has consistently been the case; in Ontario they’re about to vote for a conservative provincially, so they’ll vote for a Liberal federally – PP’s timing couldn’t have been worse, and it became obvious, with desperation in his voice, when he insisted this election would be about the carbon tax.

    • Martin Dixon says:

What particular qualifications does Carney have to deal with Trump? I’ll wait. He was a guy who inflated two economies to make the rich richer at the expense of the middle class and especially folks under 40. That was LITERALLY one of the reasons T won and part of Pierre’s popularity(that he is in the pocket of the rich is a Tru-anon lie). Not to mention, it remains to be seen if he even wins the leadership.

    • Douglas+W says:

      Random thoughts:
      1. What qualifies Carney to be the most trusted with Trump?
      2. Haven’t notice desperation in Double P’s voice. He continues to sound measured.
      3. Conservative War Room quiet. Thought they’d be hammering the Liberals on social media: proroguing Parliament at the worst possible time.

      • Martin Dixon says:

        1. None
        2. Agree-it is Tru-anon wishful thinking.

      • Douglas,

The CPC should be attacking Carney and defining him now. They are making a big mistake waiting until he becomes the leader.

        • Martin Dixon says:

They are. This sort of thing is making the rounds:

“Western society is morally rotten, and that it has been corrupted by capitalism, which has brought about a ‘climate emergency’ that threatens life on earth. This, he claims, requires rigid controls on personal freedom, industry and corporate funding.”

Who knows, maybe they have so much on him, they are keeping their powder dry with the HOPE that he wins.

          • Curious+V says:

They’re afraid, and cloaking it in hubris

          • Martin,

Consider this as a two-part study: in 2015, the principal strategic mind was called Harper and we saw where that got the CPC. In 2025, just substitute the name Poilièvre for that of Harper and expect similar results. As I said eons ago, most people don’t give a shit about a carbon tax election. For them, inflation and the cost of living is what floats their boat. Add to that Trudeau fatigue and outright hatred and things were consistently good for the CPC. Take Trudeau out of the mix and you’re left with a CPC leader who prefers pontificating and cheap theatrical gimmicks to substantive and meaning policy announcements that would provide confidence to voters that a CPC government would know what it was doing from Day One and be able to hit the ground running. Sadly, Pierre has yet to master that talent so another Emperor with no clothes is once again viewed as the leading and preferred alternative to Trudeau. In short, Pierre has made his bed.

          • Martin Dixon says:

Ronald, there was nothing Harper could have done to overcome the nonsensical love affair with a name. Nothing. And the binary choice was clear but lots of folks who should have known better failed it. I haven’t taken Coyne seriously since. And Curious, who is “they” excatly?

          • Martin,

Every professional and amateur pundit was predicting that Harper would be re-elected. Almost no one thought that Trudeau would come from third place and win. Harper got a majority and then went ape shit right: all that talk about old-stock Canadians and the barbaric practices hotline simply finished him off.

          • Obviously, by that point I didn’t give a shit having already decamped to the Liberals. Stayed there for about a decade until SNC Lavalin came along.

        • Martin Dixon says:

This was released yesterday after the caucus meeting:
