I fully agree. Sonetimes Canadians aren’t so good at promoting themselves.
Exactly. Telling Canadians what they already know. It’s Americans who need to be reminded of this (assuming they’re even aware in the first place).
A typically arrogant Liberal ad though not surprising. They do believe that they’re the only true Canadians and will appropriate anything positive this country does as being them incarnate. Anyone who disagrees with them is unCanadian. I truly despise this political party and the people that run it. They are opportunistic parasites.
And this is why the Liberals will not win a single riding in Saskatchewan or Alberta but still win a majority government. I sort-of get your bitterness, but bitterness will not play to the electorate now.
Apparently a recent, small town, Liberal campaign kickoff ended with the crowd spontaneously breaking into “Oh Canada”. People were in tears.
I am reliably informed that volunteer and donation numbers are through the roof to the point they cant even figure out how to handle it.
People might not like the Liberal Party for a lot of valid reasons and I 100% understand those sentiments.
But the fact is Carney and his team have captured this moment… and this viscerally powerful sentiment…. in a way that no other party can.
You better tell them to get a decent Official Agent if they have that much money coming in.
One of the simplest, yet most important tactics in any campaign is acknowledging / validating the emotional sentiments the voters are already feeling. The aim is to reflect back that the party / candidate also holds those same feelings.
This ad is powerful and achieves that.
Also WK, yes this should be played on Fox news ad nauseum.
