In the French debate, I would tag team Pierre with Blanchet to take Liberal projected seat numbers down in the province. That would be extremely good regionally for the BQ but also great for the CPC in the national seat projections. If the Bloc wins the most seats in Quebec, does that mean it’s all over for the LPC in forming a majority government?
Green Party co-leader Jonathan Pedneault will be Carney’s Rottweiler, going hard at Pierre.
Conservatives have to take Pedneault seriously: he has the capacity to inflict a lot of harm on the Conservative brand in Quebec

I don’t know, Douglas. How much damage can he do? If memory serves, we never got above twelve seats in this province. If that’s the high-water mark, we need to egg on the Bloc. IMHO, without at least a very strong second place in Quebec, I don’t see how Carney gets to a majority government with only Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.
Ronald, I’ve been thinking the very same thing: Carney’s path to 172-plus seats?

West + North: 15
Total: 147
With Ontario and Quebec, I’ve been generous. I honestly don’t see the Liberals doing much outside of the Island of Montreal, and the GTA

Other random thoughts:
Mraz’s last bit which seems to have left Warren speechless makes me think I should stock up on fuel, ammunition and dried food products and hunker down at the cottage. Although Bruce Power is likely a target.
Nice to see some politicians like Kevin actually mean it when they say they are leaving because of family.
There is a saying in investing that greed will always overcome fear. Greedy boomers are just using the excuse of their fear of T to keep their grift going especially the Toronto types. And the Liberal insiders who will do literally anything to keep power love the fact that T won. Think about that for a minute.
The misogyny complaint about Pierre has been dismissed by every woman with a functioning brain. He was not wrong. Not to mention he talked about a COUPLE’S biological clock.
I was literally watching Ovi break 99’s record while Warren and Brian were discussing traitors. One of the most amazing events in the history of the game and folks will focus on the fact that 99 was sitting beside Pavel. Funny thing about Pavel is if you watched him, he was exactly like every other pol I have seen in 99’s presence, he looked like a silly school groupie and I am not saying that as a criticism.
Anyone who is impressed by someone just because they have a pile of letters behind their name has not been out in the actual real world much. I usually find their actual real world abilities are inversely proportional to the number of letters behind their name especially if they floss them.
Like everyone else, I am taking a pretty good haircut although said haircut has got a LONG way to go to match 4-5 others. Watching all the US talk shows today and I get the impression the Republicans THINK this is still all negotiating. Who knows. Regardless, I am making no moves because I think it will sort itself out. Or it won’t. If it doesn’t, I can count on Carney to make me whole!
