“Canadian election too close to call as new poll shows vote will go down to the wire”
“A poll conducted by The Express US and The Democracy Institute asked participants who they wanted to win, and found that voters were split – 41 percent for conservatives, and 41 percent for liberals. The country’s other parties, New Democratic Party, Bloc Québécois, and the Green party, also gathered some support, taking away from any majority among the top parties.”
Ronald,
Trump’s ongoing intrusion means only one thing: the Libs don’t have this one in the bag.
Trying to remember a time when you were wrong.
I’ll get back to you, tomorrow
The mirror has it wrong – polling results have been pretty consistent throughout the election so it really looks like a Liberal majority – having said that I know sometimes it changes at the last minute, just that this probably isn’t one of those times.
Our election made The Newshour today and David Frum is the guest in this segment but he did not correct the pronunciation of Pierre’s name right at the start:
Good ole CBC gets saved from execution. I hope Pierre will finally drop this bullshit. IMHO, these stupid cultural issues cost us at least ten seats. Same with that useless anti-woke nonsense which made us come across once again as Yahoo’s…
That’s right Ronald, but your pointing out the difference between a red Tory and a regressive conservative – they won’t change and if you try to make them they’ll vote for the people’s party.
I could not agree more. Your base is already with you, you don’t need to do dumb self-defeating shit like that. The kill the CBC thing is one of the stupidest campaign promises ever from the Conservatives. Maybe the stupidest.
My father calls Poilievre a fascist all the time and he lived in a dictatorship – that’s why he calls them
Fascists because that’s the way they lean – my 97 year old Uncle, who also lived in holland, was watching Poilievre – he said this is the first time I won’t vote conservative this guy reminds me of the nazis – sorry Warren I think it’s important to point this out now before we end
Up with something like they have in the states. The way they get their base riled up with disinformation and conspiracy theory – again, this is what the nazis did and my family has been pointing the out for a long time and they were occupied by the Nazis
Oh please. Sorry, but they both must have the mad cow if they think he is a fascist and that is WAY less offensive than calling someone a fascist when they aren’t one. We have dumbed down both that word and the word Nazi.
It’s what he reminds them off, with his ranting, attacks on woke, embrace of Trumps style – the kind of propaganda we see on facebook – it reminds them of the fascists of Europe, so what are we to say to people who experienced it when we clearly can’t speak from experience? You’re base needs a lesson in respect for history and reality and the dangerous path modern conservatives are on – I know this isn’t true of all conservatives, I’m not painting them all with the same brush – but the fringe that is currently wagging the dog nationally, they need a lesson in respect – when a 97 year old who experienced that disaster says you sound like a fascist maybe you should listen for once.
I am not discounting their experience in any way shape or form but, sorry, he didn’t just say he SOUNDED like a fascist, you said he said he WAS a fascist. That is lunacy. And, I will ask for the fifth time, why did Windsor go blue? It had nothing to do with fascism and they sure aren’t full of reformers down there. They are the ones worried about their jobs. Perhaps, we should be listening to THEM since they have the most to lose. The civil service and boomers sure don’t.
Warren,
Great co-host, ah, I mean, Guest.
Warren,
Nanos: Liberals +4;
And what to make of this poll?
From: The Mirror US.

Ronald,
My projections:
Liberals: 177
Conservatives: 124
BQ: 24
NDP: 7
Greens: 1
Douglas,
Out on a limb time:
CPC: 157
LPC: 150
BQ: 25
NDP: 10
GP: 1
Ronald O’Dowd I think that is pretty close. Of course things could go either way.
Ronald,
Trump’s ongoing intrusion means only one thing: the Libs don’t have this one in the bag.

I’ll get back to you, tomorrow
Douglas,
That’s easy as my ego deflates: Trump vs. Harris.

Warren,
Jagmeet hates Pierre’s guts as much as the latter hated Justin.

Oh and, yes, more E. Always loved Roadrunner.
Warren,
Research: Liberals +5;
Nanos: Liberals +3;
Liaison: Liberals +2.
In alberta, apparently liberals are set to grow their seat count to 5 – cause for celebration.
Warren,
Well, the O’Dowd vote is banked:
Two Liberals, Two Conservatives.
My screwball family is all voting Liberal.
Might catch up with them at Christmas
My family voted – all liberal
Brookfield thanks them for their vote.
Gilbert,

Doc,
That and the anti-woke shit has all the appeal of an undersized dick…

No Martin, it’s that they have vivid memories of the Nazis, their occupation, their atrocities and crimes, and their propaganda –
It’s what he reminds them off, with his ranting, attacks on woke, embrace of Trumps style – the kind of propaganda we see on facebook – it reminds them of the fascists of Europe, so what are we to say to people who experienced it when we clearly can’t speak from experience? Not calling him
A fascist – but he sounds like
One
These are YOUR words.
