  1. Warren,

Glad you are both safe. Nothing like experiencing personally what the Israelis have to deal with almost daily.

  2. Warren,

    Trump, the ultimate in losers.

  3. Warren,

No one of consequence will push for Pierre’s removal, so he has nothing to worry about.

Carney isn’t some great democrat. He wants Pierre in a byelection and as leader of our party. The Carney Liberals think they can beat us again with Pierre at the helm. It’s as simple as that.

  4. Warren,

WE reaped what we sowed. Ford wins, we lose. Bingo! We needed Ford and his people to win.

  5. Warren,

I was somewhat skeptical of the Trump factor being the primary one. But you were right! Australia only confirms Warren’s thesis.

  6. Warren,

Michael supported Harper for a while, and look what it got him: it reinforced Harper’s hold on power.

  7. Martin Dixon says:

    Scary stuff in Israel.

Interesting to note that in the 1945 general election, Liberal PM Mackenzie King lost his seat for the FOURTH time, his party lost 61 seats and were reduced from a massive majority to a minority and the party’s share of the vote fell by 11.5%. And someone stepped aside to let the 71 year old King run again and win.

Oh and it was great to revisit the Screaming Weasel’s track. Added it to my playlist the first time you played it on 13/2/22!

    • Douglas+W says:

Independent Liberals (Quebec MPs) propped up the King government following the 1945 vote.
      Still a strong majority government

      • Martin Dixon says:

I understand but many of the usual suspects are all up in arms because of the cost of a byelection. History is fun. Not to mention that a new leadership race would also cost a bunch of taxpayer money. Math is fun too.

  8. Martin Dixon says:

    Ha…Screeching Weasel.

  9. Warren,

My, how voters are flighty. Farage and Reform win big in local elections in the UK. But what will happen in the next general election?

  10. Martin Dixon says:

CBC is back to regularly programming, I see! On P and P, Bobby Fife said “many people are saying” that they were told Pierre was a “dick” at the door. Much uproarious laughter all round! Davey Cochrane got extremely animated with Scheer over the cause of inflation. Nothing wrong with that I suppose but perhaps he and others on the mother corp should have got just as familiar with the minutiae of the capital gains changes and been just as excited whenever some Liberal(including the PM who kept it as a pinned tweet) spewed their shite about the .13 per cent it impacted.

    • Derek Pearce says:

      a) I believe it when people say he was a dick at the door. Liberals lecture as if they’re the voice of angels when they’re condescending; Conservatives sneer when they’re condescending. Poilievre doesn’t do “nice” disagreement.
      b) inflation went up all over the entire world after COVID. I suppose you think those who lost their jobs during the pandemic should’ve scraped by at subsistence level. I for one am glad the government turned on the taps. Better inflation than great depression.

  11. Linda Yancovitch says:

Glad you were there to help and all o.k.
Israel was inspirational to your paintings and put you in the right place at the right time.

  12. Warren,

Pierre defends Byrne. In other words, he understands absolutely nothing about why we lost and what role Byrne played in that loss. So keep Byrne and prepare to lose again when Carney sinks his own government, because the CPC will lose as soon as Carney triggers another election. What’s the point of trying to help much less enlighten this guy?

  13. One would have thought that the logical approach was the introduce new blood as house leader instead of resorting to the tried and tired. Scheer. With each passing day, our party heads further off the rails.

  14. Verna Scott says:

Saw pictures of the roads into the airport, on CTV. Its something one can not explain. Pretty bad. Glad E is ok, she sounded so calm. But as you said before people are around this daily. Immunity..not good.
All the interviews had good things to say, but it seems every second word was Trump. He has infiltrated himself into our country in a bad way. He might be a nice guy, but. I dont think i
We have ever had this kind if a problem with as carney says our biggest and most important trading partnet.
I said this 2 days ago, if Pierre loses the by election.
Bens guest said take conservatives to put liberals in a majority.
Carney could invite Pierre. Its about addition for Canada’s good. I’d not have a problem with that. Carney takes his ideas anyway. Its the oil and gas issue..our resources. That pierre would keep in check. But…
TRUMP…TRUMP…TRUMP.. says he he doesn’t WANT anything from Canada, but he NEEDS things from Canada. Hes getting old. I still like him slightly, as a person only!!!
Songs were great, the first 2 i heard rock and roll .1st one Brown Betty. 2nd. Not sure but there’s a song in there.

    Interesting podcast .

  15. Warren,

Is he finally waking up? And for how long?

    From: CBC News

“Poilievre reaches out to Ontario premier after Conservative election loss”

“Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s team has reached out to Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s office to arrange a call between the two, an apparent bid to ease tensions after Poilievre’s party lost the federal election.”

“Ford is one of two Progressive Conservative premiers who have taken issue with Poilievre and his team in recent weeks. Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston confirmed tensions between his office and Poilievre’s SENIOR ADVISER, JENNI BYRNE [Emphasis added.], in a news conference last week.”

    No fucking kidding…

  16. Warren,

Carney thinks that sucking up is going to lead to results. He’s dreaming. Didn’t work for Trudeau either.

  17. Derek Pearce says:

I’ve mentioned this before, but my strain in defending Israel and Jews to friends is the atrocious behaviour of Netanyahu and his government. It pisses me off that people are conflating the actions of the Israeli government with Jews in general. Anyhow I hope to see the government under Carney actively speak out against antisemitism. I hope my hope isn’t in vain.

    • Derek,

Haven’t you learned yet what the Liberals are really like? All they care about is getting the considerable and electorally important Islamic vote. They don’t give a shit about the Jews. And that will be reflected even more during a minority government. How Housefather can throw away his self-respect and cling to these assholes is way beyond me.
