Come on, we’re talking NYC here. It’s never been a petri dish for the broader Democratic Party. The way forward has always been the Bill Clinton way, centrist moderate Dems. That’s the only winning way. Bernie and AOC are fine theoretical concepts and aspirations, but they aren’t serious or broadly credible national candidates. Just the way it is. Go centrist, go mainstream, go big, or lose. Broadly, the DNC and Senate Democrats are already painfully well aware of that.
Bill Clinton was elected 33 years ago. The party has no current version of him.
