ANOTHER CONSERVATIVE CONSPIRACY THEORY DEFROCKED

I love that word: "defrocked."

Anyway, I digress. A bunch of free-speechy red-necked knuckle-draggers - concerned about the undue influence this black-helicopter-piloting, tofu-eating, latte-sipping, hybrid-driving, Satanic, secular humanist One World Government baby killer had on Mother Corp. - actually complained to the CBC's Ombudsman about this web site being on the blog roll of the CBC Politics page. (Stephen Taylor is there, but that's a-okay, apparently.)

They complained! In writing, even!

We're not making this up, folks. They really are that stupid.

In any event: the CBC folks responded, and in a far-politer fashion than I ever would have ("Dear Lunatic: Adjust your tin foil hat and get a life. Meet a girl. Play some sports. Sincerely, Etc.").

Here's a bit of the response, and the link, below.

Crazy old One World Government, eh?

"[Dear Lunatic:] You wrote to draw our attention to Warren Kinsella’s name in the “Blog Roll” feature at the bottom of the Inside Politics Blog page. He is a Liberal Party “war room strategist” and “mouthpiece”, you wrote, adding it is “inappropriate” for the CBC to “endorse” such a partisan blogger.

While I regret you are disappointed in CBC, with respect, your views are not ones I share. As a matter of federal regulation and corporate policy, CBC does not endorse any partisan bloggers."
