...and soon to be deceased, I expect.

This is a shot of one of their boxes at the corner of Bloor and Bay Streets, shot just a few minutes ago.

The end is nigh. However will Jonathan Kay be able to lionize neo-Nazis, on that sad day?

• Hébert on Iggy: Worth reading. My personal rule of thumb, on these things, is to visit the House of Commons and watch the Conservative MPs. When some leadership contenders stand up to ask questions, the Tories keep noodling away on the Blackberries or reading Quorum. When certain Liberal MPs stand up, meanwhile, the Harper folks stop and start paying attention. Serious attention. That’s where my money will be.
• Ottawa on Ontario:
The Conservatives are like the discredited Harris regime – they hate the place they purport to represent. Can you win Ontario without Toronto? Nope. Can you win a House of Commons majority without Ontario? Nope. Just wait: in the next election, we’ll take the Ontario-bashing to every single Tory MP and candidate, in every single riding. They won’t like the results.
• Libs on their debt: Big deal. It’s less than it has ever been after a loss. And, what’s more, I’ll trade the Lib debt for the Tories’ recession any day. Tory times are bad times: expect to hear that a few million times between now and Election Day.
• Pols on the polls: what does it all mean? It means Obamaniacs (i.e., me) who feared the G.O.P. could snatch a win from the jaws of defeat were wrong, wrong, wrong. These bastards are going down, and I plan to enjoy every single minute of it. Conservativism is in for some rough times.
• Grit friends on Yours Screwly: it is always odd to watch as others analyze you on the Internet. Just this morning, for example, I found one of Mark Steyn’s acolytes going through our garbage. They made an interesting sound when I backed over them.
• Team Obama on the last 24 hours:

Given that I am going to Jamaica this week for a few days, and given that Barack Obama is going to win the presidency in 48 hours, and given that it is my web site and I can do whatever I like with it, I figured I'd spin Cocoa Tea's Obama song again.

So I did.

It's funny, but it makes an important point. If you have an American friend, change it and emil it to them.

GOTOV: Get Out The Obama Vote!

Look, I'm sorry, but jumping into the race on a Friday afternoon - and on Halloween, no less - just doesn't seem to be brilliant strategy.

I mean, it just invites all sorts of funny analogies in comments, don't it?

She's a good friend, and we're proud of her. And not at all surprised to see her big win.

Being a non-partisan, for a minute, I am happy to see more women in cabinet. They needed to do that. Good on Mr. Harper.

Harper bolsters cabinet with rookie women (Cabinet-Shuffle)

OTTAWA - Prime Minister Stephen Harper bolstered his cabinet with veteran MPs and rookies alike today in a sweeping shuffle that will launch his new government.

Harper juggled more than a dozen portfolios and added more women to a cabinet that had just seven females among 31 members before the shuffle.

Three star women rookies vaulted into key posts: Lisa Raitt at natural resources, Leona Aglukkaq at health, and Gail Shea at fisheries.

What shuffle? This is what the politicos I know are talking about this morning!

Hate to sound like a gushing teenager and all that, but - my God, Clinton is awesome. What a pro.

Expect to hear some of Clinton's lines coming from federal Grits in coming months. His criticisms apply up here, too.
