Featuring the new guy, Steve Deceive! Sung to the memorable words of today’s Rob Ford video! Snarl along!
Toronto Sun exclusive. Other statements by Rob Ford:
• “I’m going to kill that f..ing guy. I’m telling you it’s first-degree murder … He dies or I die, brother.”
• “When he’s down, I’ll rip his f..ing throat out” and “I’ll poke his eyes out” and “I’ll make sure that motherf….’s dead.”
• “No one is” going to “f… around with me” and when it comes to he and his “brothers . . don’t tell me we’re liars.”
Video here.
…I am characteristically subtle:
“It’s stupid,” he told Yahoo Canada News. “One favours a position on pot that reflects what most police forces in this country believe. The other is being investigated by police for using a drug that kills.
“Ford Nation is being rapidly de-populated. After yesterday, many of that nation’s residents are looking for a new nation to live in.”
Man oh man, I think John needs to stop giving interviews. Or, at least, think first and talk later.
Quote, from The National last night:
“[Rob Ford] will come back. People love a story of redemption anywhere in the country, North America, the world. And if he could solve his problems and if he could come back and be cleaner and ready to go I think that he might have a chance of winning again.”
Link is here. Wow.
(Oh, and Karen Stintz? As I said to a Liberal friend [who should know better] on Facebook: “She’s a Conservative. Her husband is a former Flaherty staffer. She worked for Harris on privatizing health care. She took a Ford patronage appointment. Any Liberal working her for needs to re-think.” And about a 100 other things that would make her a disaster. Other than that, she’s swell.)
In this fairly extraordinary clip, John seems to be counselling Rob Ford – his theoretical “client” – to not promise to clean up his act. “Don’t ever say those words.”
That’s bad, bad advice.
UPDATE: The equivocation is winning few admirers, here.
When I wrote this song a few months back, I added the question mark, because none of us were too sure if it was true. Guess it was.
A new version is being prepared right now. No question mark, this time.
As you know, Rob Ford and Doug Ford are presently on a jihad against Toronto police, possibly because the police have had the effrontery to, um, investigate Rob for serious crimes. They want the police chief fired, blah blah blah.
What do you think? yes, yes, we know: drug dealers and drug users aren’t usually very big supporters of our men and women in blue. But in the Ford’s case, if there more to it? Vote now, vote often!
