Another apology to Richard Warman

My pal Richard – who I am really, really proud to call my friend – has racked up yet another win.  First it was the National Post, now it’s some of the kooks at a far-right hate site called Free Dominion:

On June 16, 2010, the following post appeared on www.freedominion.com.pa under the new thread title “Apology to Richard Warman”

“In 2007, I published on the Internet material that attacked the personal and professional reputation of Richard Warman. These attacks were unjustified and I retract and apologize for them without reservation.”

“Andrew Spencer (Droid1963)”

Spotted by BCL, natch.  Richard’s web site is here.

Go, Richard!

Another obviously insincere, coerced “apology” that only censorial Liberal socialists like you, M.J. Murphy (aka “Big City Liberal”) and Warman could take seriously. Stalin took the same satisfaction from the “confessions” and “apologies” extracted from his show trial victims. What never ceases to amaze me, though, is that you totalitarian creeps actually seem to think that other people believe these phony recantations and apologies. You are deluded, but I suppose that you nevertheless get your kicks from making people grovel and dance to your evil tunes. Warman can continue to wage his lawfare campaign against free expression and harass people with his frivolous SLAPP actions, but the one thing he can’t do is erase his record as Canada’s leading proponent and practitioner of censorship.

Marcel, if I could send you to a gulag, I would. I know it would make you happier to be right, as it were. And the rest of us would be happy that you are in a gulag. Everyone wins.

      Hi Marcel,

We’re not totalitarians. If we were, we wouldn’t allow you to leave Canada, renounce your citizenship and go live in places where you might best fit in, like Somalia. You might find the legal institutions of Somalia, Burma or North Korea much more appealing to your right-wing appetite, what with the absence of human rights and anything decent societies stand for. And while speaking about decency, we wouldn’t have to legislate it here in Canada if you, or the likes of Andrew Spencer, could actually conduct yourself like you were in a modern, civil, developed democratic society like Canada, instead of acting and wishing as though you were in the lawless regions of world, like Somalia.

So if decency isn’t your cup of tea, feel free to pack your bags while we move forward with civilization.

I do, however, hope you have a better day. I mean, it’s really pathetic the hate you have for someone (i.e, Richard Warman, ‘Big City Lib’, and WK) that you probably don’t even know. I don’t even know them, but I know it to be a moral certainty that they do not think about you, yet you expend all your emotions and time being preoccupied with hating these people. It’s creepy when strangers have such emotions for another.

      Best,

      Robin McEwan

Richard Warman has shown great courage and strength in the face of countless personal attacks from the likes of Ezra Levant to his other racist minions. Congrats Richard and I do hope this is the start of many more to come.
