Facebook vs. Twitter

In our experience at Daisy, FB’s demographic skews much more female than what is seen here.  But worth a look, nonetheless.

Fascinating! Many thanks for the link, GT.

(And I still haven’t forgotten our bet. But I think I’m going to be on the losing end of it…)

The wonderful world of MLM has discovered Face Book too. I’ve had quite a few tweets from “we knew each other in High School/University” folks and do I have a wonderful new business model for you.

  3. This may seem stereotypical. I have heard that women base their status on the number of friends that they have, whereas men base their status on their position in society. In a girl’s childhood and teen years, a disagreement with one friend can risk the loss of other friends. Boys will battle each other for status while playing soccer or hockey who later transfer their battles into the work world. There is a sense of distance between friends at work, school, and in the community.

I look at the Facebook game, Farmville. To me, it seems that women play this game as it involves asking friends to trade items in order to build your farm. Without friends, your farm won’t get very far.

Warren, you have a lot of Facebook friends. However, is your social status based on your FB friends, or your Daisy work and appearances on TV?
