I like the look! Shoulda kept the beard.

I like Justin, but in politics, trying to look like a rock star isn’t always a good idea.

He looks beautiful, young and compassionate — someone remind me why he’s not running for leader? I believe he’s 40 now, so he’s not too young.

Jus said his kids were to young to leave, for such a long time.

Paradoxically/ ironically/ sadly/ etc …this kind of attitude makes me more likely to vote for him – something I assume the Libs want from people like me who have always voted NDP.

Ah well. Post 2015. He’ll be closer to 50, still engaging, still smart, still hardworking (so I have heard) and even more electable. Let Bob Rae help the federal Liberals screw it up one more time and then we’ll have the decks cleared for something better. A merger? Stronger, renewed, youthful Libs with Martin or Justin or Marc or Martha at the helm? Both? Whatever it is….bring it.

As I say this, a lump grows in my stomach imagining the carnage that back to back majority reformacon governments will do to my country in the interim.

    Hear hear.

I thought he looked dashing. And let’s face it, if you don’t have a good face (like Michael) you’re not going to get elected. People are shallow and if the cover’s not pretty they won’t buy it.

    • JenS says:

So, you’re saying Harper has a “good face”?

    • Pomojen says:

Are we buying wholesale that most people are shallow? I suspect there is some self-fulfilling prophecy involved in beliefs like this. If we are all told that we are shallow and that “this is what the people want” I think there is a good chance that it will come to be, or already has in part. The cons certainly like to think that no one is watching or scrutinizing anything too seriously. are they convincing us that we don’t care? Or that we only care about the superficial?
