March 16: Your nightly Robocon

Since the election fraud story broke, I’ve heard from a lot of Conservatives – a lot – who have been appalled by what they’ve seen and heard. “This isn’t how we wanted to win,” more than one has said.

Ian Brodie’s another one, seems. Good on him.

  1. Paul Griffin says:

The town of Fort Erie would like to thank you and Mr. Mcguinty for the fine government you are providing us. Unbelievable.

    • kenzo's says:

from most of us other Ontarians who do not share your level of retardation, I offer you a most hardy “You’re welcome!”

    • Ted H says:

And you really think the alternative would be better, were you 8 when Harris and Hudak were in power?

  2. MCBellecourt says:

Ah, I see you already have it–I was about to post the link with a Happy St. Paddy’s day wish.

    The thought plickens, eh?

Perhaps Mr. Brodie will be the catalyst for other prominent Cons to come forward (?)

  3. jay says:

Congratulations, Paul Griffin–you’ve just won the Dean del Mastro Non Sequitur Award.

  4. Jan says:

Time for Mr. Burke, who doesn’t believe in my reproductive rights, to man up and come forward. Brodie is pointing a finger at him.

  5. Sean says:

As a liberal, I sincerely hope that Dean Del Mastro stays on as the Robocall point man. There couldn’t possibly be a better face to attach to this scandal. He can’t keep track of what lies he is telling and he gets worse by the minute. I can’t wait ’till the next time he’s on TV to see what stupid shit he’ll say next! The oppo should be paying him.

  6. Rob W says:

I am hearing from well placed CPC supporters in the western stronghold that they are hearing from many long-time supporters who will be staying home in 2015. This scandal, and in particular the bellicosity and vitriol of DDM et al, is creating an enthusiasm deficit in the party.

Oh no ! I thought that once you drank Kool Aid, your fate was sealed.

Rob, I don’t believe you. Drones can’t think.

      • frmr disgruntled Con now Happy Lib says:

Fortunately for me(and quite a few others actually) there was an antidote.
But the die hard Refoormers in the Conservative Party out West, who are directed from the pulpits (bully and otherwise), will continue to act as you say, like drones.

    • Philip says:

I could see that happening. Election fraud and vote suppression aren’t things most Canadians are willing to stomach, regardless of where they live or whom they voted for in the past. In this case, it certainly doesn’t mean those folks would be any less conservative. I would react the same way.

The Conservatives have done themselves no favours by their disjointed and OTT responses to the Elections Canada investigation. Relentlessly blaming others or shouting about Elections Canada perceived bias or even fraud just comes off as being childish. Get pissed at the people who broke the law, co-operate fully with the investigations and own the fact that Conservatives need to change some of the culture of their party. The more the Conservatives throw up roadblocks, play the victim card, throw tantrums and try to shift the blame to obvious scapegoats the longer this stink will stick to their party. Deal with it and move forward.

    Hey Gord!

Just lifted of the NP pages.

The unnamed individual behind misleading ‘robocalls’ during the last federal election misdirected 5,053 voters in Guelph, Ont.’s 519 area code, but also called 74 people in suburban Toronto’s 905 area code, 35 people in Toronto’s 416, 22 in the 705 area of northern Ontario, 14 in 613 — which includes Kingston and Ottawa — and one person in Thunder Bay, the Post’s John Ivison reported on Friday.

You were scoffing and posturing at the 700 number so I thought I’d help clarify the numbers for you.

    Read em and weep…………
