I think i know who wrote this

I sense that he is upset that I am smarter than him, better looking than him, and that I make way, way – way – more money than he does.

Women also dig me. They don’t dig him.

I mean all of that, of course, in the nicest possible way.

  1. Ezra Levant says:

the fact that this person is basing their argument on such material points shows how shallow and greedy this individual is which usually comes hand-in-hand with garbage ethics and attitudes in order to cover the insecurities of trying to “look better” and short others in order to gain way-way more money.

  2. Ed says:

The passive-aggressiveness of this, with the accompanying part about listening to them, without a name given, makes the person look hilarious. I had a good laugh at the end. It’s clunky too.

  3. James Bowie says:

Douchebaggery aside, I nominate Ezra Levant’s response, supra, as the worst sentence ever written on the Internet.

    • !o! says:

Yeah, I can’t follow it. and I have to read a lot of screwed up stuff. For what it’s worth, the really long sentence that goes from objective (‘basing argument’, ‘such material’, ‘the fact that’) into very subjective very quickly ‘shallow’, ‘greedy’, ‘garbage’) suggests someone emotionally affected– the emotions bubbling under a thin veneer of trying to sound smart, and make people mistake the emotion for logic. You’d almost think he took the smarter-than comment personally or something.

  4. Jon Adams says:

It’s the little things like being too chickenshit to sign editorials that keeps people suspicious of the Sun, and in fact most newspapers in general. I’m sure someone could dive into the Quebecor archive and retrieve a moment as equally damning as their Transatlantic namesake’s Hillsborough disaster, or perhaps “Hurrah for the Blackshirts.”

    • kenn2 says:

Many years ago, I figured out that the Toronto SUN was crap (politically) as soon as I saw that they like to add little editorial rebuts or snarks after any published letters to the editors.

  5. James says:

Ha ha… Alison Redford described as a “socialist” that’s funny. She’s an old school PC (which to any of the endlessly rabbling types at the Sun is apparently equal to a “socialist”). I guess there’s an anger litmus test applied to conservatives nowadays.

  6. JamesHalifax says:

    Hmmm….was it Lilley?

  7. Byron says:

They’re right about being able to con the public.

    They do it every day.

  8. Ted B says:

The column, er, editorial screams Brian Lilley.

The adolescent, nyah nyah tone; the run-on sentences; the only point is an attempted poke in the eye; the cowardly anonymity; the focus on personalities and spite; the lack of providing any facts but just sticking with insults and ad hominem attacks; the so-spitting-mad-that-I-have-to-slash-at-as-many-Liberals/liberals-in-one-column-as-I-can-even-if-it-distracts-from-my-argument-and-shows-me-to-be-a-blind-partisan.

    Yup. Definitely Lilley.

think i know who wrote this

And you are smarter than him, better looking than him and probably make way, way – way – more money than he does.

  9. Pat says:

Good thing total nutbars like the author of that article only represent about 1% of Canadians…

  10. billg says:

Man you guys get all worked up over Sun editorials and columns.
What?, you only embrace difference of opinons that you agree with and are written in a manner you find soothing?
WK can rip into Lilley or Levant or Adler anytime he wants, and, he’s still with the Sun chain. What exactly are you guys afraid of anyways.

    • Warren says:

No, I don’t do that actually. It’s boring for the reader, and nobody cares. Journalists writing about journalists is boring.

But someone there sure sounds a bit obsessed by Yours Truly.

    • Outsider says:

It has nothing to do with “being afraid” (whatever are you talking about there, anyway?) and everything to do with trying to parse a poorly thought out, poorly argued and poorly written polemic in an unabashed right-wing sheet (it is to laugh; the author accusing someone else of being less than fair-minded). The Sun – or any publication, for that matter – is free to publish whatever it wants, for the most part, but it also opens itself to comment from those who pay for and read it. Why do you have such a problem with that?

    • Kevin T. says:

The difference is that Warren has the guts to sign his name to his columns.

    • Jon Adams says:

It’s one thing for people on the internet to crack wise anonymously. It’s quite another when a corporation takes the time and the effort to use its official communications to talk smack about one of its own employees.

Simply put, it’s the difference between you or I acting like insecure chickenshits and an entire corporation acting like insecure chickenshits

    • Ted B says:

Man you guys get all worked up over a little criticism.
What?, you only embrace difference of opinons that you agree with and are written in a manner you find soothing?
The Sun or Lilley or Levant or Adler or you can whine rip into WK anytime they/you want, and, he’s still with the Sun chain. What exactly are you guys afraid of anyways. If you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Conservatives are the only bunch I know who equate freedom of speech with freedom from criticism or think criticism is the same thing as censorship. Go figure.

  11. frmr disgruntled Con now Happy Lib says:

The article definately has Ezra’s patented snarkiness(though missing Ezra’s on-air smarm) about it…..and btw……..Guys dont go for Ezra either…….

  12. deb says:

I think when they hate you that much, you gotta be doing something right;)

  13. Michael Bussiere says:

Continue to trash Trudeau father and son and you will embolden every Liberal in the land!

    • Bruce M says:

You mean every remaining Liberal, don’t you?

Hey, if you throw a leadership contest and nobody shows up, can it still be called “leadership”? Or a “contest”?

  14. patrick Deberg says:

Can some one here tell me who the he(( Ezra was talking about? I really don’t know who he was talking about or what he was saying and I’ve read it about ten times. The lack of clarity is enormous. But I guess when you shill for years and stiff people for magazine subscriptions and begging becomes your main employment it must go right to your head when you get a job that doesn’t require a tin cup. But someone please tell me who he was talking about?
