Nobody could say anything critical about Wildrose at Sun News?

So sayeth an expert.

Really?

Seriously?

Um.

Wasn’t the issue more perceptions of bias, rather than actual bias?

(Although that election night coverage on Sun News was epic.)

Aside from one up front and avowed Liberal, brought on to be an insightful contrarian, any other examples?

Warren, you must have a lot of self-control working at SUNTV. I’m glad they give you free reign to make whatever comments you wish to make (hopefully that cutting off the mike thing was an aberration) but it must drive you mad to hear some of the comments made by certain hosts of certain shows.

I’m a Conservative…and even I cringe when I hear some of the things said, or some of the antics that go on. Granted, I appreciate that SUN is up-front about its Conservative bias, but they often go so far overboard, you hit the shore instead of the ocean. Watching EZRA interview some of his guests, I’m convinced that he and his guest have already gone over the questions and responses before taping even begins. I’m tired of the snarky comments inserted in the middle of newscasts and interviews. Frankly, if they don’t lighten up a bit I’ll just stop tuning in. I do enjoy watching Lilley, and David, but Ezra’s quickly becoming tiresome with his over-the-top tirades and calling everyone a bigot. David “The Menzoid” mensies…is just painful. I know it’s a young station, and hopefully they’ll refine their technique, but really…..I don’t want to watch such obvious biases in play. At least the CBC pretends to be nuanced in their bias….but they at least appear to be far more professional.

I do like Krista in a tight dress though…..I can watch her for a while as long as I hit the mute button.

Somehow, I don’t think that Sun News stays awake at night worrying about a ‘perception of bias’. Neither do their readership. Nobody, and I truly mean no-body reads the Sun for balanced coverage. I wonder what the actual reason for the resignation is?

I think the reason was obvious. Though everyone knows the SUN news is biased (because they proudly admit it) I think there is a point where you can go to far. Having the spouse of a prominent politician on the payroll….simply looks bad.

The sad part of the SUNTV situation though, is that they are SO obvious about their biases….it detracts from the message when they report on something important. Stories you will never see on the CBC, or CTV are often reported on SUNTV, but the way they report the news or conduct their shows, takes away from the true issues which are discussed.
It is easy to dismiss Ezra Levant based on his reporting/commentary style, but he covers some important issues which don’t get us much consideration simply due to the fact that it is being reported by EZRA.
