What a joke

And, when the CRG starts digging into the private lives of Liberal leadership candidates, as they now will, the Grits won’t be able to say a bloody word about it.  Because they brought this guy back.  What a joke.

Not only does the party need to be above reproach, we must be seen to be above reproach…..his return doesnt help the cause, most definately…….

Hope he can help in fundraising at least……http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2012/08/01/party-fundraising-numbers-canada_n_1727746.html?ref=topbar#slide=1312269.

I’m one of those young guys who voted for Layton every election I could. And I don’t think Vikileaks especially hurts the Liberals.

    – Exposing hypocrisy matters. If you preach something, the public deserves to know if you practice it.
    – We live in the age of the permanent campaign. Blame the US Republicans for starting it, and Harper Cons for copying it.
    – We all know Conservatives will go to any length to discredit someone, well beyond what is part of the actual debate.
    – You’re worried they’ll say “Liberals do it too?” They’d say that anyway.
    – The NDP didn’t touch this one, and they’ll STILL say the NDP does it too. They’ll find SOME incident to make everyone believe all politicians are jerks.
    – When people believe all politicians are jerks, they vote for someone that promises to reduce the role of politicians, or don’t vote at all.

Vikileaks didn’t cause Liberals to lose, and it won’t cause them to continue to lose.

(Why they lost and how they can win again is a much longer discussion, which Liberals never seem to have other than “who is our next leader”.)

On the fence about this one. Hard for the Cons to bring this up without also and always resurrecting the bigger issue of Vic Toews family values.
The Conservatives will go to any length to discredit other parties and their candidates. No one has to lower the bar for them.

Maybe we should start digging into the personal records of the members of the CRG? The whole mote and beam story seems applicable here.
