Trudeau media-frenzy-commences

Been up in Ottawa for business – some of us have to work, ya know – and been getting a ton of calls about Justin Trudeau. Herein, my take in Yahoo News:

“He would be the front-runner,” Kinsella told Yahoo! Canada News in an email exchange.

“But a lot of us Liberals don’t want or need a coronation. We need a competitive race with lots of great, viable candidates and ideas. Justin needs that, too.”

Kinsella, who was a Jean Chretien staffer, adds that Trudeau has the sizzle but needs the steak.

“He needs to talk about ideas and policies. He has the charisma thing nailed. Now he needs to tell us what he thinks.”

    What, no comments yet?

Just saw an article on a supposed ‘draught Carney’ movement.

    Carney for finance minister! lol

That would be something though. I do not have a clue if a deep pocketted Carney cares about earning more money. It may be that he would prefer more direct public service, and will not be worried about the meagre paycheques. Running a political party is so completely different from the real world, all his experience is in the wrong places, but he is smart so can learn. If he stuck it out after not winning the leadership of the Liberals, he would be an awesome Finance Minister. Imagine that, a Finance Minister whose primary interest was serving Canadians, and who had the skills to actually do it! Even better than Paul Martin

Carney can’t possibly be finance minister. He actually knows something about finance and his opinions would probably fuck things up politically.

  3. Also…..Mr. Carney is a conservative!!
