Important Rob Ford-related annoucement by SFH

TORONTO – Shit From Hell, Canada’s best-loved geriatric punk combo, is entering the studio to record a song to raise funds for the purchase of the “Rob Ford smoking something illicit” video.

“If it helps to drive that bumbling oaf from office, we deserve the Nobel Prize for the Arts,” said bassist Winkie.

Guitarist Ritalin Boy agreed. “Apparently, he isn’t called the pride of EtobiCOKE for nothing.”

Drummer Davey Snot added: “This guy has turned Toronto into Moronto. He’s Onterrible!”

The loveable punk moptop trio have pledged to donate all proceeds from the recording to the Gawker crowd funding effort underway to purchase the now-infamous (but still unseen) video. Any excess will be used to pay off their ex-wives.

Shit From Hell is a Toronto punk band. Their last LP was “Why Do You Hate Me?” and is coincidentally available on iTunes. Their average age is 96, and they hate everyone.

    You take PayPal?

  2. David Paterson says:

Good to see kids giving something back to their community.

  3. Eric Weiss says:

So you have no problems giving money to Gawker, who are going to turnaround and give to drug dealing thugs who terrorize the streets of your city? I understand the desire to get the tape out there, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

  4. jp says:

Better the thugs get their money for a more legitimate reason than selling drugs to crack users. Maybe they can take a vacation now. Plus, the video should be of great interest to the police as evidence, don’t you think Eric?

    • Eric Weiss says:

And what do you think drug dealers are going to do? Retire? Open a Tim Horton’s franchise?

And what can the police do with a video? Can’t prove what he was smoking, can’t prove possession. Not saying it wasn’t crack, just that you couldn’t prove it in court. The Marion Berry case was part of an active investigation so there was more evidence to go to court with than him just hitting the pipe.

I’m betting there’s more than one copy out there, it’s just a matter of time before it surfaces.

great cause! Fords gotta go, and since he isnt going to resign and head for rehab on his own, crackstarter is a good plan b.

  6. William says:

Maybe Rob Ford should ask Mike Duffy to buy it for him…..now where could Mike get the money?

  7. David says:

I would donate in a heartbeat ,But it appears that they won’t raise the $200K in time. They need about $650/hr .The last time I looked there were 3200 funders. And The Star reported on the CBC that the drug dealers have gone underground Not a good sign. Good luck with your record.

    • Balconies says:

It’s a fixed funding campaign. That means that if they don’t reach the stated goal of $200 000 everyone gets their money back. So your donation is risk free. And I’m sure that the dealers will come out from underground for two hundred grand…

    • Woody says:

just how slow does that thing beat?

  8. Carol says:

Not surprising they have gone underground – Lets see the proof PEOPLE and turn the evidence over to the police to be verified – LETS SEE THE PROOF and not take the word put out there solely for political reasons.

  9. Carol says:

So many of you followers are willing to give your money to drug dealers – great choice!! Are you bored or what…….I would love to come up with a simple minded scam and collect your money, lets see – who can I go after in the political arena. Oh wait – just about everyone.

  10. Eric Weiss says:

“Frankly, I don’t give a damn about Rob Ford. What I do give a damn about is this trigger-happy, irrational thought process amongst his detractors (the supposed Vanguards of Truth) that is allowing their hatred — justified or not — to willingly give $200,000 to a drug gang.”
