The Boss moves to new digs

It can now be revealed where he’s going.  They’re damn lucky to have him.  He may be 80, but he still works his ass off.

Very sad, again, that Heenan Blaikie is gone.  They won’t be the last law firm to slip beneath the waves, however.

    dissolution (noun)

1 – the closing down or dismissal of an assembly, partnership, or official body : the dissolution of their marriage.
    • technical the action or process of dissolving or being dissolved : minerals susceptible to dissolution.
    • disintegration; decomposition : the dissolution of the flesh.
    • formal death.

2 – debauched living; dissipation : an advanced state of dissolution.

Why do I think that item 2 is apropos for a law firm? 😉

Slip beneath the waves? I believe that the better analogy is that under sage guidance Mr Heenan, they merely decided to get out of the choppy water.

    Warren,

Why are the firms profitable but really hurting? Billing.

Robert Shapiro and others have changed the hours universe…adapt or die a slow business death.

Universities keep churning out law school grads as a means of increasing tuition revenue – http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2013/09/23/robyn-urback-here-ontario-have-some-more-law-school-grads/

How about Justin’s non-performance on the Budget while Mulcair shines and shows why only he can replace Harper. Justin is incompetent on finance and budget issues while Mulcair is competent and responsible in his knowledge and national finance position.

Justin was interviewed on the Budget on CBC by Evan Solomon, and Evan had to feed Justin softball questions to get some kind of response from him and it became a #fail moment. So pathetic.

why is such a large law firm going out of business? sitting here on the left wet coast, how does this happen? legal firms out here still appear to be doing well.
